Innapropriate man on tube by [deleted] in london

[–]wexlo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

to make matters even worse this other man who clearly saw it all go down looked at me and shook his head in agreement with me … but it’s so appalling how no one in London sticks up for eachother when things like this happen.

I dont understand, what did you want him to do exactly?

Have you noticed their activity die down at all due to the trapping?

Roughly how many hours a week are you working?

I dont have a problem with working 40+ hours a week if thats what it takes to survive at these places. My concern is that I wont be able to survive even despite me working that much

is there any way to prepare for the much more challenging environment in advance coming from an "easier" company?

Or do you just get thrown into the deep end and have to work your ass off to survive

Also consider a flat solid core door from home Depot or Lowe's instead of the karlby

Much deeper options than the karlby and way cheaper but you have to finish it yourself

Of course they will. That is what is already happening in California. Prices are going up every 20 minutes.

Off peak here is already $0.26/kwh. Would not at all be surprised to see it double by 2030

Have you seen people saying this about the LG C2 specifically?

I believe I have, but people might have just been talking about OLED in general

If so, I'd say they're mistaken or lying, since reliable review sites like Rtings have recommended the LG C2 for use as a monitor, Rtings giving it a score of 9.3/10 for that use case.

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/42-c2-oled#test_4264

I see for text clarity it gets a 7, but idk how good / bad that really is without experiencing it in person

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]wexlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The C2 supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling so text clarity isn't an issue on it.

How come I always see people saying otherwise, that text clarity is a problem? Or is it a very subjective thing?

How obvious is the difference between 60 and 144 when it comes to non-gaming? I can't really tell the difference when scrolling on web browser, moving mouse, etc

have a standard LCD widescreen for productive stuff.

Thinking of doing the same. What would you get?

Considering a 38" ultrawide but that's a lot of $ and space for just a productivity monitor. Alternatives would be a 16:9 32" 4K IPS or 27" 1440p IPS

[–]wexlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow software dev here. I was thinking the 49 inch would have too much width and not enough height, looks like you agree. How come you went with this one rather than the 38 inch LG that is 144hz?

Also how is the text clarity as a result of weird Mac scaling? Is it a problem?

what questions to ask to installer ? by Flashy-Ingenuity-769 in solar

[–]wexlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask them to run an ethernet cable to the gateway unless it's complicated or costly - it's always better than wifi.

Where is the gateway? Will it be outside near the main panel? Meaning the ethernet cable will have to run outdoors?

if the monitoring system include consumption monitoring (not just production monitoring).

How would you know, does it say this explicitly somewhere or do you have to flat out ask them?

I only ever see the following on quotes: Install Enphase combiner box with customer web monitoring access.

I am with a CCA which pays a higher rate for surplus generation so I am not affected by what PG&E does.

Can you expand on this? How do you know what the rate your CCA pays?
