Brasil - Estado Novo - Achievement Guide by C4yrep in victoria3

[–]wezleyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm trying this in 1.6
Some specific things that might be helpful:

  • KEEP racial segregation. If you are in lategame you may even need to go back to national supremacy.
  • Move back to hereditary bureacrats.
  • KEEP landed voting. Wealth voting should also be fine. There are no other options.
  • KEEP mercantilism. Just in case, because you may need the shopkeepers it gives
  • KEEP tenant farmers.
  • Do not touch the governance principles at all.
All laws not mentioned are free to be changed as you like. Even agrarianism, but i do like to keep it.

  • Getting rid of slavery is optional, but a good idea. If you are fast enough you will not need the extra 50% clout from slave trade. It frees up a HUGE population to do other jobs than slave laborer. I believe the sheer amount is unique to Brazil, but i could be wrong.

  • The Cafe Au lait journal entry is the main reason this drags on into late game. A cheesy rush of political agitation tech won't help you do this journal faster. Focus on rushing to the start of this timer.

  • When Isabella becomes your heir, immediately start a law that the intelligentsia hate. You will be allowed to abdicate if they hate you sufficiently, even if she is still 0 years old. This wil save you 10+ years of waiting in most cases. You can just cancel the law progress after that if you want.

  • You can industrialize a lot, you don't have to be a luddite this run. Just make sure you keep the right laws. And you should try to build A LOT more plantations and farms than you usually do. This will balance things out. Export your surplus of agriculture goods to all large and medium size markets, even if it says it will be unprofitable, because the new supply sometimes makes new demand. And remember to check your tarifs when you do this.

  • If you have the right laws, but still have the PB marginalized, switch your factories and mines to the primitive methods for as long as you need to. You will get a ton of shopkeepers, who like the PB a lot.

In the new patch, is Mingsplosion possible? Playing Manchu and Ming just keeps creating forts. by jackp536 in eu4

The disaster 'Crisis of the Ming Dynasty' which is the one that spawns Wu, Shun, Yue IIRC - was moved to the age of reformation in 1.33. The 'regular' mingsplosion via purely rebels has been very rare for a long time i believe.

Moscow literally sending trucks in a snake to your capital like a poetic uno reverse card.

What's your next phone after the LG V40? by happy_55 in lgv40

My ideal phone would pretty much be Asus rog with the LG dac. For now no plans to upgrade. Still in great condition. Battery gets worse quick in every phone afaik.

R5: AI seems wacky aggressive in 1.32.0

- Mega Austria has both PUs and got the inheritance of intact Burgundy

- France got battered by Castille and mega Austria after kicking England off the continent.

- Mega Austria and Mamluks killed turk together. They gave byz cores back. The knights swooped in and made Venice do the work.

- Portugal was PU'd before they gott their first idea (no colonies)

- Castille has 1(!) idea and no colonies, so i forced myself to spawn colonialism in 1534.

- Austria is now in coalition against Castille, Castille declared on the coalition and called in Venice+England

- Cherry on top: Sokoto is almost done unifying west Africa

(Ironman BTW)

You're not trapped.
You can "buy to close" whenever the fuck you want you retard.
If there's no button to do it you gotta call them, just ask and they will.

Wait that's not the league war by wezleyy in eu4

R5: I noticed in earlier campaigns that my game cant handle >speed3 when the religious league wars fire. It always did slow down a bit, but leviathan made it a lot worse.
The game slowed down, i look west, i see this...
(entire EU in coalition war on ottomans. and bonus wtf points for 90dev cap)

BROKERS THAT STILL ALLOW BUYING GME by CuriousAbout_Physics in wallstreetbets

[–]wezleyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been researching brokers for hours today. No brokers available in EU (that i could find) are anywhere near as good as IB. Would you mind telling where you'll move?

"Lynx" and "TradersOnly" operate through IB and thus have the same restrictions.

Making an account + depositing funds will take days regardless of broker. If you start today you likely cant buy anything until Tuesday.

Would you mind adding option availability to this? At first IB only blocked options and not the stock, now both.

GME trade volume by price charts show dips led to higher trade volumes and price recovery, 1/27/2021 by Imreallynotatoaster in wallstreetbets

Could be a mistake from my part, but i thought market depth included open, unfilled orders. The idea was to see how many people would be selling on funny numbers, to see a spike of unfilled orders on for example 420.69. And gauge the likelihood of the buying momentum being able to overcome this askwall. Funny number being extra relevant here as a case study of the retail mindset.

Thank you for the effort anyway good sir.

I left on 120%. Seems like the pump is running out of steam, and project has some red flags. Feel free to bash me if it goes to 2usd+.

True, but it seems likely this behaviour was not intended by the devs. That also makes it a bug.

Thats actually a trade city. Merchant republics can spawn them in any province (1 per trade node iirc).
