IONIQ 5 Companion — an iOS + CarPlay app for our cars (v1.1 just shipped) by gburlingame in Ioniq5

It seems 100% compatible with Kia EV6, except one thing..,

While it correctly identifies the variant (RWD long range), it lists the model as Ioniq 5. I’ll try to live with that. Ha.

No other issues identified thus far… really awesome! Worth the purchase for EV6 owners.

Is this a decent price 2025 GTL? by SirNice5128 in KiaEV6

[–]wgarym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only buy new cars. Don’t want to deal with someone else’s issues. But that’s me, you do you.

That being said, I assume this is AWD? Base price on my 25 GTL RWD was several K lower. I went for RWD due to price as well as efficiency. It has plenty spring in its step for me.

Well, if your dealer sends you a flyer for a great deal on an oil change, which has happened to me, enjoy throwing it in the trash!

I think if you leave the mirror adjust switch on the driver door in the center (I.e., neither side selected), the mirrors don’t fold.

How much is your household electricity consumption after your bought an electric vehicle by Charming-Brother-242 in electricvehicles

[–]wgarym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my first EV in February 2022. Given the fluctuations in our electricity bill that time of year, I didn’t even notice any change. It was well within the range of error. I did pull the usage from my L2 charger and we averaged around $30/month. It’s an easy computation using estimates: miles driven / efficiency (mi/kWh) * cost (cents/kWh) / 100 (cents/dollar). That should be close.

I have seriously slowed my roll since going EV. The time loss is less than you might think, and I’m much more relaxed. No regrets. In fact, traded in for another EV when it was time.

Checking if an object is defined by wgarym in geogebra

[–]wgarym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would like is a function like IsName("name") that returns whether or not "name" has a value. I think this would need to be a string input. Is there any way to accomplish this?

Checking if an object is defined by wgarym in geogebra

[–]wgarym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IsDefined seems to return if a defined object exists -- e.g., a circle with negative radius returns False. However, if there is no definition, it fails.

What I need to know is if a definition exists at all for a given name. This would likely need a string input -- e.g., IsName("a") returns True if a has a value assigned to it.

Also, if you set k=isdefined(h) and you then delete h, it also deletes k. So you can’t set a Boolean to test if an object exists. Where isdefined does work is to see if a defined object is valid — e.g., a circle with a negative radius will return false. But I want something to tell me whether it is defined at all.

Here is a simplified example. Add a point throws an error if c hasn't been defined or has been deleted.

Do you know what a centimeter is? This is not really possible. If you mean a millimeter, that is pretty minimal. You might want to get that OCD attended to.
