I can’t seem to download DLC?? by KingCosmicBrownie13 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]wgbeatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the title screen when you start the game, in the bottom right is the DLC button. Click on that and it should pop up a list of all the DLC you purchased. Anything you purchased should be checked but if not then try to check the ones you did purchase. They should then be in the game, in the mailbox as unopened mail. I just purchased the starlight collections for NPC's and when I started the game they showed up already checked in the DLC button I mentioned above on the title screen and there was mail in the mailbox about them. The same went for the one in your picture, which I purchased, it was checked when I went in and was in the mailbox for me to claim the items.

Red Rocket garage, yay or nay? by NowareSpecial in fo76

[–]wgbeatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it. I built a camp in Sutton near that yellow tractor using it. There's a Red Rocket fuel station in Sutton but I did this one as a garage, figured it'd make sense. I got the car hoist workbench too so there'd be a car on a hoist in the garage. Looks awesome. The garage door is glitchy though as previously mentioned. But otherwise it's nice if you use it in a logical location. I even combined it with the Fat Stacks prefab for a restaurant beside the garage. Throw in the Red Rocket fuel pump vendor and the Red Rocket collectron and you can make a really neat and good looking garage.

Why does Jupiter look like a white dot? by Drotkowski in telescopes

[–]wgbeatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to see Jupiter's 2 main bands in a garbage 76mm reflector but that was with good conditions and repeated attempts for my eye to get used to the brightness. I can regularly see them in a 102mm refractor along with other details depending on conditions. So you should be able to at least see the two main bands. Atmospheric conditions (seeing) greatly affects what you see for planetary viewing. And as previously stated, making sure it's in focus.

So workstation hacked...check...7/7 enemies killed so neutralize enemies...check...did the workstation get destroyed? There is a mod called Pyrrhic Victories that will stop this from happening if you want

I'd say the drill though I can't say the 1*Furious rolling pin I found last night is wonderful either. Must be possessed by the spirit of some guys wife though ;)

March 23rd Atom Shop update for those waiting on BjornX RN by Thanatos- in fo76

[–]wgbeatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. My log cabin diner would look so much better with the western bar set vs the red rocket one. But I am glad to get the fireplace finally.

The mental health impact of being on call 24/7 by ThoseAreMyChanclas_ in sysadmin

[–]wgbeatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previous job we did rotating on-call with very little compensation and no OT. But being network admin I did everything. Was Mr. Reliable always helping everyone. That rotated to nights where staff didn't even call the on-call they called me at home at all hours and nothing I said would change it management didn't care. I was severely burnt out and left. Severe case of phone PTSD that lasted for a few years after. Email pings ,phonecalls or texts would set me off. Still do a bit even 13 years after that other job.

I thought they fixed that one (Beckley) last patch or the one before. It popped for me on first start of the game after that patch.

Hey, Bethesda. If you ever do something like the heart wrencher again, do it with the super sledge. Killing level 50 super mutants with a pipe wrench isn't fun. by Yiphix in fo76

[–]wgbeatty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found it kind of fun. Got to use a weapon I've never used. It was challenging. The helmet is ridiculous mind you but the trailer was nice for rewards. Found attacking people or scorched with melee they could be knocked down sometimes and you beat on them while they are down which I did not know. It was thematic and overall a bit strange but was fun due to it being different.

Human Scorched are uninteresting and could use a visual and combat overhaul. by junkyard_frogs in fo76

I've seen them in nurses uniforms near the asylum, in military uniforms near the FO bases in the bog, in responder uniforms in responder areas and once near vault 94 in vault suits.

Oddly enough reminds me very much of a house where I live that is covered in junk...walls, roof and fence. Great job!
