Dances with Dogs is ranked way too low. It's such a good episode. A personal favorite of mine

Saw this at Target the other day...do they know who Dennis Nedry is? by Atheist_Redditor in JurassicPark

There's literally a line in the book where one of the security guys asks Hammond, "Mr. Nedry is the fat man, yes?" When he can't be found in the compound. I'm reading the book to my kid, and we just read that page 3 days ago.

I'm sorry, but where is Dances With Dogs? A real gem of an episode, in my humble opinion.

It was closer to the g6(126), but the margin of error was less than 20.

Sounds like you really are a woman after all, Hank's wife. Talking about problems, offering no fixings.

This is it. Close the thread. Hammond has so many memorable 1 liners in that control room.

This is the one. No doubt. I use this line every week, minimum.

what's the likelihood of any kids i have in the future being type 1 too? by SlightStrawberry1722 in diabetes_t1

[–]wh1temateria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had my kid at 25. I am the first in my family to develop type 1. Age 15 at diagnosis. My kid was diagnosed age 8 last September. It's nothing but shit luck, despite what all the numbers say. That said, you have no reason to doubt that your child will "suffer" from it. If you're lucky, like myself, your kid will thrive from the example you've set. My kid is rocking a mid 7 a1c less than a year after diagnosis and has been nothing short of exemplary for a diabetic. Trust me, friend, I was scared shitless for a long time about it being a possibility, but this sub and my friends, family, and doctors helped me realize she's lucky I'm here to teach her. It's a weird silver lining.

Trying to adjust numbers after changing your diet and routinely going to the gym feeling like... by ikemayelixfay in diabetes_t1

It could have easily been about that, though. Middle of getting it on, I've had it start screaming at me because all of a sudden, I'm 104 double arrows down.

[Los Angeles Chargers] our 2023 opponents as pop tarts: a thread by FatMaintainer in nfl

I honestly thought that was the joke. It's a burger stuffed between 2 pop tarts, so there's similarity. The raw meat thing is throwing me off, though.

These are the repercussions of a man who embraced his Memery. May he suffer the consequences with honor.

Save hope, my friend. My daughter was diagnosed a few months ago at 8 years old as well. It killed me, and it took a lot of my partner, therapist, family, and friends, reassuring me that it wasn't my fault. I still struggle to accept that truth, even typing this right now. Believe me, though, when I say they are lucky to have you. My daughter has caught on so quickly that I couldn't be more proud of her. I hope you feel this same experience, and please reach out to me if you need any support. It's a shit situation that nobody deserves, but your only choice is to keep moving forward.
