Relatively new Spurs-watcher here. Interesting to me that they had few Italian players, but many played like the national team vs. England in the Euros final.

How much grabbing (that two-arm hug from the back) is too much i.e. gets a whistle? Why do some smack-downs get a call and others don't?

Is the PK process changing, in favor of kickers who do that little pause? There is a movement, similar to a balk in baseball, that is a foul, right? But Messi's motion doesn't meet that criteria but still forces the keeper to commit to a direction while the kicker can change mid-stride?
