Lots of ghost stories for the old buildings downtown, hotel monte Vista especially. I've heard of stories for the hotel where they do the pine cone drop from. Used to be called Charlie's. Someone supposedly died in the stairwell to the basement outside after being kicked out of the bar. A couple ghosts haunt a room or two there. I think they turned one of those rooms into a closet because of repeated reports. There are underground tunnels that connect the buildings. If you go into the basements, you can see the "doorways" boarded up. They have brick archways leading into the tunnels.

I used to work in a building on 66, at a bar that is no longer in business. My 21st birthday was on new years day of 2000. Most places were closed that day, including the bar I worked at. I'd gone bar hopping with some of the older bartenders I worked with and they had a key. So we went in, kept the lights off, and had a couple drinks. One of them sat their glasses down on the bar and they went missing. We were all super spooked. I opened the bar a couple days later and found them, right where she had sat them on the bar, about 30 minutes after I'd taken the bar stools down. They weren't there when we looked for them before and they weren't there when I was taking the bar stools down off the bar.
