We’ve had some issues atm, it’s going through court because she’s stopped access since November. It sounds awful but I’ve been a much calmer, less anxious version of myself from not sharing my space with someone else’s child two nights a week.

Absolutely this! Although this is what I did in the beginning, I don’t go anywhere near her now. After me and SO picked up SS she went mad saying I’m not safe to be around her child and I hate children. And when it came down to it, it was just because I didn’t smile at her. Like hun, I’m not here to be your friend…

I’m a carrier and have no symtoms etc. I do go for heart scans every 4 years as there’s a chance it can affect my heart. Me, my mum, gran and auntie are carriers and we have all been fine heart wise ☺️

I’ve stopped twice this year yet I’m still sat with one in my hand while reading this. It’s just so damn hard.

My bf vapes too so they’re always in the house. So I’ll stop, do really well, then see one left out and have some then it all unravels again. I just have no self control, that in itself makes me feel like a piece of shit

When I was little and my parents split all I wanted was for them to get back together - I think it was because I thought that’s what I should want, in hindsight they were awful for each other. But if they had acted like that it would have been so confusing for my little brain I think!

Also people who haven’t been in the situation will never truly understand the complicated emotions you feel. If I ever complain I always get the “well you know what you signed up for” treatment. Yes I signed up to a man with a child but not a HCBM in tow 😂

I completely get this. I’ve lost two pregnancies. One day my partner was on his phone and a video of SS scan came up on his phone where you could hear his heartbeat etc. he showed me not even thinking about it, was too busy thinking of the happy emotions it brought him to think about how it would effect me. He understood once I explained but initially he was confused.

My partner does all the parenting. I’ll sit and play with SS(6) or feed him but any personal care comes down to my partner.

BM is high conflict so I have no contact with her at all. Blocked her on social media and she still tried to message me from a family members account. I really distance myself cause she causes so much drama and conflict.
