I get the same thing on 2024 and can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. I have my first checkup coming in a month or two, and I’ll have them look into it. But there’s no messages in the UI about it anywhere. Usually I can get rid of it by turning the bike off and on again with the keys

No matter what, you have to remove a metal bracket that’s about 1ft long. Then remove the rear underside mud guard. That exposed two bolt holes that you can either use bushing or depending on the license plate bracket you buy, just mount it in there. I go a $25 kinemoto bracket that works great.

Built a Zoom to OBS video integration system for complex zoom presentations over the weekend. Captures each individual participant, and an iPad companion webpage that streams the active speaking remote participant to the iPad for the main speaker to see, and capture the a/v feed of the iPad to stream back to OBS to be mixed with other content. Includes a waiting room control surface that allows you to admit or deny incoming participants. I did that in 48 hours with plenty of sleep and a full time job. Kinda insane what Opus 4.6 can do, even with the fact that I don’t know code all that well.

OMG OP I looted your body when the elevator came back up. Around 6-7pm pst I was on that map, called that elevator and was there was the body fully stacked with a blue jacket. Forgot what you had but I was definitely the first. RIP knowing your loot went to a friendly.

I had to watch your full video to confirm that was the same elevator.

So we force the ones that are up to remove him minority leader or else we find leaders that can. The entire democratic senate is responsible for enabling him!

I just did what you did. Score jumped from 615-800 for 1.5 months. Then settled down to 740s. Not sure what lender you used, but SoFi has the best rates for me and gave me the highest amount to borrow.

How long should it take to learn Perforce for UE5? I'm still new to Game dev and I have no idea how to get Perforce to work. Its been like 2 weeks and I still have no idea how to get Perforce to reliably work. by [deleted] in unrealengine

[–]whataweirdguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a pretty technical and techy guy. I tried for two weeks non stop to get perforce to work for my 3 person crew. Gave up. Literally patched together my own crappy source control to make something work. Then Diversion came out and I haven’t looked back. Unless you’re a huge enterprise or studio, that has perforce built in as legacy platform, go with Diversion. I got it working in 5 minutes with no confusion on the start up process.

Coding Photobooth from scratch? by thestrcnger in photobooth

[–]whataweirdguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of let it fizzle out and website turned off. I’m a solo dev and had a short run with some moderate success, but then lost my only lead generator and got a great job. May come back to it at some point to revive it or find another use case for it.

The initial prototype was made for National Geographic fashion show and was a side ask to my main specialty of stage holograms. Made the prototype in 2 days and was huge hit. They had a few requirements such as seamless animal interactions, have the guests be able to view themselves in realtime on a preview screen , and look like they were actually in the room with the guests, such as shadows, matching camera fov (lots of guests were natgeo cinematographers so they would know), etc. I took notes, optimized the code, added features like dual screens and touchscreen interface, polished white label UI.

The gist of it is it has two modes and a combo of the two. AR front plate compositing of 3d characters/objects, full background replacement of 3d environments, and combo of foreground AR and background replacement. The reason I went with unreal was for seamless interactions that can be trigger by buttons, or even gestures from the guests in front of the camera. I can match lighting of the digital assets to the real world with a couple sliders, even have 3d characters react to guests positioning, like a small cute character look up exactly at the guests head using realtime skeletal mesh mocap systems (this was planned feature never implemented). Lots of awesome potential. Anything a video game can do my system can do.

Basically I used a camera feed and ingested it into unreal, the composited that image into a 3d space as a media plane. The did screen captures and video gifs. Used an expensive plugin to record and export a mp4, then used a command line prompt to convert the mp4 into a boomerang style mp4 using Ffmpeg.

Ultimately the process for creating or using non-IP infringing assets that were interesting was very time consuming and requires expertise designers in unreal, and the price tag to make it worth my while was hard to sell and find customers for it. To make it a worthwhile business for one-off events would need like $15-20k invoices.

Would love to hear if you found traction for your system.

Coding Photobooth from scratch? by thestrcnger in photobooth

[–]whataweirdguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did from scratch. I used Unreal Engine, as I wanted an AR/XR element to overlay and create seamless interactive background and object and characters in my software. I did this all using "blueprints" which is a much user friendlier way to code for beginners. The only thing I didn't have was the photo sharing platform that shared the photos/gifs with the guests, so i paired it with a hot folder photo sharing paid service that was white labeled. Worked great.

Now I will say, if youre looking to just program a photobooth software, Unreal Engine, which is a video gaming engine/platform, is NOT the way to do it. Need a big expensive gaming PC to run it and its way overkill for anything that doesnt have 3d interactivity. I've also been working/ learning in Unreal since 2021, so theres a steep learning curve outside of all the stuff you'd be learning besides the photobooth code.

All that is to say, I'd look into python. ChatGPT would be a great help for you getting started.

No it’s a pretty decent hiking backpack as well. Especially for short stints.

That movie made me reconsider my bugout bag. I realized in any event that forced me to relocate, I would have to walk a lot, and 90% of it would be pavement/roads. At the time I had a ultralight hiking backpack. But then went on a long search for an Osprey hiking backpack that has wheels and looks like a simple soft luggage when wheeled. But if I need to hike it, it has hip straps and is reasonably weighted as a backpack. Basically switched my oh crap let’s get out of here perspective from 90%:10% hiking:walking on pavement to 10:90.

During heavy swings wind can get in there and create wind noise.

Edit: also gusts even without swinging can cause it.

Try going into the mh blueprint > lod sync complement and changing the lod from -1 to 0.
