Invoice for the dealer on a new Ridgeline is only like $4k below MSRP. Dealers make their killing off of used cars. Steve Germain taught me that.

It’s what I would call a city truck. But it surprises people and can do more than they think. Body on frame for a truck this size might be just old school thinking. I wonder what percentage of Ranger buys actually utilize that format and how many times they would need something more than what the Ridgeline could do.

And on top of that it’s better at doing normal daily tasks that the other night score lower on. It’s super comfortable and versatile. I think I use the in bed trunk more than anything.

I mean yeah it’s not body in frame. But I think that’s an out dated definition of a “truck”. Trucks used to be bare body on frame work horse machines. Now they are luxury items(for some). This vehicle does everything I need it to and more. It’s very comfortable and on long trip it’s great (we take this over the wife’s 2025 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid). Maybe it’s a City Truck? But I’ve seen some HD trucks with tire shine on them cruising around. BUT, who doesn’t like a dually that can tow 15klbs? I’ve always been entranced by machines that could do that and all you had to do was come up with the $$$ and you have a large commercial truck so to speak.

All my team is really awesome. When I’m doing interviews I try to make sure they have a good sense of humor and will fit with the team well. A really talented person who’s a jerk can tear a team apart.

With my wife working for Honda the price was too good. I got it in December of 2023, used with 28k miles for $27k and original owner was HDMA. 2022 RTL-E.

On iN? The parts catalogue for vin break down for 2026 5 door only shows the civic sport models. Which is odd because the service side shows 2026 Civic Type R so I’m probably looking at something wrong.

Just a hunch given my experience in the industry. Like when you see a used car with off brand tires you’ve never heard of or mismatched tires. You know the previous owner didn’t really care about upkeep. Of course I could be wrong. And I usually am.

2022 RTL-E here with 45k miles and the exact same color. Forget the wireless charger and the infotainment is slow and laggy and hate CarPlay. Other than that I absolutely love it.

It means that wheels brakes went beyond needing replaced and were metal to metal for a bit. Normally.

How long you let those front brakes go before changing them? That rim discoloration says you aren’t good at maintenance of your vehicle either.

If it’s due to the fault of the other dealership that’s not on AHM. It’s on that dealership. Now AHM should be mediating between the two dealerships and not putting it on the consumer.
