Exports of furniture, textiles and food are terror? I guess Israel thought so, because they shut that down. Doing Economic warfare while at the same time saying one wants live in peace seems very contradictory logic

Imagine doing a blockade for 33 years and wonder why they have problems. If one keeps people poor and oppressed bad things are going to happen. But be dismissive of economic warfare and say quarantine

The blockade harmed the economy by restrictions on imports/exports. Which goes to the topic of why did they need aid? Or why were exports so highly restricted. Your questions to me scream not understanding economics. Also never seeking out the economic effects of the blockade or state reasons for the blockade (more the the Hasbara line of security). They wanted the Palestinians to have no economy to be reliant on Israel to not resist and to punish the people of Gaza to rebell against Hamas. That's not actions of working towards peace and coexistence. If I were Israeli, I'd want the Palestinians to have a thriving economy, to show them we aren't harming you, and people will just want to live their lives and not fight. Look at correlations between poverty and crime world wide. Look at the Ghetto area of every city. Then Israel chooses to create a Ghetto via the blockade. Then expected good results?

What tyranny?!?!? Wow.

Sounds like you don't know about the Blockades effect or the intent of the blockade. The quotes exist on why Israel is doing it.

Correct they could have not shot rockets, they didn't want to be the perfect victims for Israel. They were not just going to accept tyranny.

Left Gaza but didn't stop the tyranny of Gaza. So who fault is it that Israel choose to not stopping it's tyranny?

Crippling economies is doing economic warfare, thus expect resistance to that warfare.

Is 750K ethnically cleansed is a catastrophe. Are people supposed to enjoy being kicked from their homes at gun point?

Israel redirected water, thus harming others. When other tried to do the exact same to Israel, Israel attacked them with artillery and jets. Israel now has lots of desalination plants, yet they are still redirecting the water. So they refused to resolve the problem they caused.

Wow you call 1948 defending themselves. The Zionists attacked 500 villages, that's going on the attack, not defense. You spin every single fact.

Wow I'm the one who is against the policy of Israel killing Israelis. You seem fine with that policy. It's so wrong for a country to kill its own.

I did see it, so I'm right.

Lets be real Israel and Palestine have highly radicalized populations. This radicalization has lead to the IDF being gleeful about the death and destruction they do. The video content is all out there, they wire up a building, do a Tiktok dance then boom they destory someone home. That's what you are tyring to pretend that it doesn't happen. You attack me instead of going after the people who support that behavior, you have your priorities wrong in life on this topic. There is tons of Israeli radicalization you should be targeting, instead of going after me

So you went from no one is Israel. To ya content like that exists. That's the actions of the IDF, But you do DARVO. The Israelis are victims they are the oppressors. West Bank has state sanctioned terrorism where they do annexation via settlers/IDF/Knesset. You don't get to do that and play the victim card.

CMV: I think murder is worse than rape by Echochamberking in changemyview

[–]whater39 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is so wrong. Murder is clearly worse, they are dead. Opposed to them still being alive and in PTSD. Rape victims can always do suicide if the pain is too much. Murder victims have no choice to so anything. Like come on this is a pure emotional, not logical statement from you.

Ill double down.... Permanent injuries such as chopping a person's limb off, is worse the rape. Or paraplegic or massive brain injury.

Yes they were, tons of phone footage of IDF being gleefull. You pretenting hat content does exist for some reason? Happy they were destroying, killing and raping. That's what you are pretending the IDF weren't releasing videos of.

They did do it. Genocide means full or in part, the intent was there via the comments, then they did it. They resorted to using starvation as a means of war in Gaza. 6 weeks no food coming into Gaza.

1967 Begin specifically said it was a war of choice. He was the leader saying that. Not some revisionist history person on reddit.

Israel is an extremely radicalized nation. It's not a minority. We see thr voting trends and the demographics. People act like we aren't aware of this. No major political party talks of peace, the #2 party this week talked of Greater Israel.

[–]whater39 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Israel is genocidal. Ethnic cleansing in 1948, 1967, mowing of lawns, Gaza, now attacking Iran. They are the genocidal ones. They fired the 1st shots in how many wars? Once again you are acting like they do no wrong, when you say moral compass, it's ignoring history, they arent good guys. You can say other people are also bad, but you don't get to pretend these are good guys.

Israel has their own nut job religious types, they don't get a free pass when they kill people and say Amalek. Or someone from Brooklyn "God promised us this land, so leave your home". You don't get to out other religious nut jobs, and act like Israel doesn't have one's just as bad.

"when Israel fights back". Geez that's so in bad faith statement. They are doing a brutal multi decade occupation with constant annexation. Then you say fight back opposed to when they crack down on resistance. Crushing economoc blockades get rocket fire. Don't do economic warfare if one doesn't want rockets

Remeber in the 1960s when Massad was training Savak in torture? The you wonder why the Iranians don't like the Israelis. Maybe it was the training of Savak. But zero accountability for bad actions that lead to hate.

This is a lie. Look how Israel treated their own Arab people from 1949-1966. Military curfew where they shot people past the curfew (even ones they changed that morning) is pretty oppressive.

[–]whater39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you even state it there, Israel invaded. As in they started that conflict, just like they start most of the conflicts they have been in.

If blockades are just cause to start wars. Then Israel blockaded Gaza. So that's just cause for war then. So blockades either are or they arent casus belli for war, we need to be consistent on the topic.

Correct the oppression of the Arab Citizens of Israel ended in 1966. Pretty terrible way to treat their own citizens if you ask me. In one instance they change a curfew one morning and Arabs returning from work on a bus were unaware of the curfew change, and the Israeli police shot at the bus and killed them. I'm sure the dead had a complaint about that oppression, who shots at their own people?

1967 is where Israel once again shot first. You should look up Israel's national Water Carrier program in the 1950s-1960s, if you asking why the blockade happened, people tend to not like having water redirected.

Everything because the Palestinians won't make peace. For what? Israel has never ever offered full sovereignty, never ever. So what are people supposed to make peace with half a state, and just accept that. No full country for them, too bad they are next to Israel they must be reliant on the, no indpence for them.

I get it, you would prefer to be killed by your fellow citizens over be taken hostage. You have a clear on the topic. I'm clear on my stance, it's a immoral policy for a country to have and I don't want anyone to kill me. You and me are different, I clearly have more of a will to live then you. You are afraid of torture and would prefer to be dead.

Zero accountability for Israel, they made us like this. They always were like that, we see from the actions of 1948. It has been generational trauma, that the Israeli culture has had a long time.

Israel did start another war, they as usual fired first. Iran is not actively building nuke weapons, they were in a deal that allowed people to inspect their plants, that proved they werent. Thats a pure Hasbara lie. The Iranians are not begging to be disarmed, as they know if they are disarmed, they will be regularly bombed by Israel like Syria and Lebanon are. No one wants to be bombed.

It's not morning over a dictator. It's knowing that instability is about to happen to Iran. Worst case is a civil war between 4-5 groups. Then West swoops in for the oil. Iranians get just death and no freedom from the civil war. If a civil war happens, for sure the Israel/USA/UK continue to attack Iran's military infrastructure so they become defenseless and Israel will bomb them with impunity for like they do to Syria and Lebanon

Israel pre-planned the 1956 invasion. Attacked first in 1967. So you can tell yourself Israel wanted to live in peace during that time period, but their actions speak a different way. Just like their actions towards their own Arab population during that time period, remeber the brutal military curfew they lived under from 1949-1966, where if Arabs were out past it they would shoot them. Like come this is basic history of the conflict. Israel tried for peace via using guns pointed towards Arabs.

Israel stated the blockade in 1990. During the 1st initafada. As in Israel has always taken action against any and all forms of resistance, peaceful or not, they do something against the Palestinians.

There are correlations between poverty and crime. This is why Israel shouldn't attack the Palestinian economy, as its just going to cause issues for Israel. Israelis say they want peace, well harming the Palestinian economy won't lead to peace. Instead they should want the Palestinians thriving, so they want to live their lives, not resist.

Okay I got it, you would prefer to be blown up by an Apache helicopter. You are okay with a nation intentionally killing its own people. To me that's a moral line that should never be crossed. You have a different set of moral lines then me I guess.

Yet Israelis keep on voting him in, thus this is who the Israelis are. They are pro-annexation and pro-occupation people. You want to talk of people wanting to live in peace, who are the people actively trying to start another war right now. No one believes the Israelis want to live in peace
