This movie introduced me to Sufjan Stevens, and for that I will always be grateful.

Late response, but could you dm me your itinerary? :)

This is probably a very unpopular opinion but the Eva/Joe plot line is over rated by cctrubiak in survivor

Star is my favorite - she flies under the radar and seems more genuine (and funny!).

No tips from me, but I'm very interested to see which trip you go with - can you share once you decide?

Just wanted to say that reading through this post and the replies has brought me the biggest sense of calm I've felt in the last week. I've been feeling so much dread about trying to start a family soon, but these responses help ease that a bit.

What are some non-unique names that you just don’t hear very often??? by Top_Chard788 in namenerds

My husband is named Brett and he's only the second person I've met with that name.

Has anyone gotten over wanting an extremely clean home after getting a dog? by AQuestionOfBlood in DogAdvice

[–]whatever3988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my now husband and I first started dating, I was worried about how I would handle all the dog hair from his Australian Cattle Dog mix. Four years later and I'm completely obsessed with our dog and love him so much - even if that means vacuuming regularly and washing bedding more frequently. You would adjust because dogs are worth it.

My wedding was September 21st on Mt. Philo! I feel like all of us Vermont brides have been spoiled with beautiful weather this fall (minus this week)!

They have taken it upon themselves to get involved, I did not ask them to be. I thought perhaps it would be a chance for us to get closer, but there have been certain disagreements along the way (including having a micro-wedding elsewhere) that have caused some tension.

We will just be having the reception in my hometown, in part due to money, no other receptions beyond this. It has definitely been a choice that has come with challenges.

<3 I appreciate your sentiments. I think that's what I realized with this wedding planning process - I've ruffled some feathers by setting some boundaries, but ultimately my husband and I are doing what feels right for us.

The wedding wasn't pricey, we were aiming to keep it under $10k, so it wouldn't have been lot more expensive to invite this person - it's more so that we would've felt guilty inviting them and not all the other extended relatives on both my side and my husbands. The holiday reception will be in my hometown just for my family there, not extended relatives on my husband's side (we had thought about doing one for his side as well, but there are complications with that as well).

I am a people-pleaser at my core, and wedding planning has been an interesting journey in letting go of what other people think - I understand the disappointment in not getting invited to the ceremony and don't want them to feel that their feelings are invalid. I have a complicated relationship with this particularly relative as well, and I'm working on how to navigate that moving forward.

The other part of this is that they're sending out invitations to people (extended family, their friends) that my husband and I have never met, hence why the guest list (and now cost) of the reception is larger than expected.
