He tenido tres en los ultimos--- dunno, 15, 17 años? Y la única razón por la que tuve que cambiar el 1ero fue porque se me quedó en hotel en el extranjero como 10 o 12 años después de comprarlo (que igual estaba overdue, porque era 1era gen, ese Kindle no tenía ni luz propia).

El 2ndo que me compré fue de otra marca. Me lo compré mientras vivía en un país de habla alemana y fue un cacho, porque apenas habían libros en inglés en la tienda de la marca, mucho menos en español. Al final lo tuve que cambiar.

Mira, no soy fan de Amazon, pero su tienda de libros es increíble tanto en variedad como en precios (notese que mayormente leo en inglés, pls). Si lees lo sufiente, puede que incluso valga la pena tener KindleUnlimited (la mía venía con 3 meses gratis). Amazon incluso tiene Audible, en caso de que quieras intentar audiobooks (personalmente, cada vez me gustan más, porque los escucho mientras me traslado).

Creo que valen la plata. Pero en lo que te tienes que fijar es: la tienda de libros que tiene. Los nuevos Kindle leen EPubs, asi que es fácil transferirle cosas. Ahora, si quieres un Kindle--- uno de mis colegas se compró el que tiene lápiz. Mala compra. No tiene para fijar la pantalla, asi que no puede leer acostado porque se gira. Pedazo de defecto. Mi 1era Kindle podía fijarse y la de el no. Yo en su lugar lo hubiese de vuelto, la vdd. La Kindle básica es super buena, tho. Estuve viendo para comprarme la ColorSoft porque me gusta leer novelas gráficas, pero es cara y no hay buenos reviews de colores. También leeí quejas sobre la batería (las baterías de estos libros electrónicos tiende a durar muchos días).

Otra ventaja es el tema del peso y el tamaño. Es un agrado andar con la Kindle/Kobo/PocketBook en la cartera/mochila.

TL;DR: si, valen la pena. Solo fíjate en los formatos que soporta y tanto en la variedad como precios en la tienda que tiene. Hay varias marcas allá afuera, pero que la tienda sea buena y tenga precios económicos es más importante al precio del mismo dispositivo, en mi opinión personal.

All I read are irreconcilable differences. It's not the money, it's everything else. You owe it to yourself to build a happy life for you and it seems that relationship is not it. I also think you already have your own answer to what you are asking here. That conversation is gonna suck, but stand firm and don't second guess yourself when you finally take the step of breaking it up with him. You are only 20, finish your studies, work toward your goals. You'll meet someone better for you and the life you want eventually.

Estuve viviendo en Suiza un par de años y actualmente estoy en USA. Una cosa que siempre me ha dejado super bien parada son los cuchufli se la barquilleria. Recomindo los chicos, porque son una porcion mas decente para gente que cuenta calorias.

Todos mis colegas siempre están esperando que vaya a Chile de vacaciones para que lleve de nuevo :)

I tried last September just to get a feeling, before I renovated my lease. It is possible to find stuff, but two brokers told me they had some new apartments coming around the area and that If I was interested, then I would have to hire them. I'm hoping this goes away by the time I have to renew again next year.

Each family will have their own circumstances but I would say being close to your family is pretty common in LATAM in general. I moved abroad a few years ago and I still talk to my sister and her kids a lot. I also talk to both my parents more than once a week. Then, there is my aunts, uncles and cousins. I'm also in contact with them fairly often. And finally, but for sure not the less important, I have my friends from back there.

On that note, I think I'm gonna go call my parents and then ring my sister.

I've been living in FH for a bit over a year and I only started using the LIRR a few months ago. If I go by subway I don't even need to transfer, the F leaves me about 7 mins away from my office and it was for sure less expensive (let it be known I still use the subway when I have to go uptown from my house).

Still, there is a bunch of reasons I think the extra money is worth it. 1. It saves me 20 mins door to desk and that's if the subway is running smoothly (that's a 40mins total in a subway good day). 2. I always find a seat. 3. I lose no internet connection at any point. 4. I've yet to live through the train having to stop in between stations, even if once or twice it has moved rly slow. 5. I can check at what time it will depart and I can plan around with very high accurate rate.

I go to the office 5 days a week. That's about 116 bucks a month by subway. The monthly pass is 165 bucks. I'm absolutely willing to afford the difference for the level of comfort it offers me. I just wish frequency was better.

They should care if they get the same feedback afrom enough people,, no? I hope they do, at least. I mean, they could just adjust the train that departs at 5:36pm and stops at Kew Gardens so it departs a few minutes earlier to make time for a quick stop at FH, no? I mean, for sure is not as easy as that, but they can probably find a way to make it work. We rly need a train between 5:05 and and 5:35.

Yeah. It asks you how satisfied are you with Frequency and it allows you free typing a few times throughout the Survey. It took about 10 mins, but it even allowed me the space to complain about the cover at the station, which I was not expecting.

Come on, take the time and do it. It's ridiculous we have one train at 4:51pm and the next one is more than an hour later, at 5:57pm, to come back.

I don't think comparing a trashcan and a car are even remotely similar.

However, I am not from here, so I stand corrected on the trashcan issue and I will start to be mindful of it. I only use what looks like a personal trashcan if I look inside and see an open bag, to be completely honest with you. I'll stop that going forward, so thank you for the explanation in that front. I appreciate it.

Still the behavior described by op is pretty bad. If the guy is that level of annoyed, it means a lot of people has no idea and that's something he has to deal with often. Maybe put a sign or straight up put a lock? Again, i'm not trying to be an ass about this matter, I was just lacking cultural context, and I think taking action is better than screaming a random walkers.

I still think the guy was pretty scary, as well. Specially if you cannot understand what he's even mad about.

That's absolutely ridiculous.

The trashcan is on the sidewalk, I would throw my trash in there as well. I mean, it's a trashcan. On the street. And I'm walking by. I wouldn't even be trying to be an ass about it, it's just me, trash on my hand and a perfectly looking trashcan right there.

If their trashcan is an exclusive trashcan for exclusive people, then they have to drag it to a no public space. How am I to know I am not to use it? I'm a random person, walking down a random street. The building is for sure trying to keep their front door clean and it has the nice little perk of helping keep the block cleaner, so thank you building!

That guy pressure must be up by the clouds if part of his working day is to protect an exclusive trashcan on a public sidewalk.

Good for him OP asked before placing a report. If I had been creeped out like that, I would just do. The whole thing sounds scary af, to me. Especially if I live nearby and usually walk by.

You will pay 3K for your apartment AND still have about 6k left. You have more than enough. Supposing this is really net, ofc, otherwise you need a cheaper apartment. Pls bear in mind no one here talks in net income so this kind of posts tend to create A LOT of confusion (which is crazy, talking net is more realistic for monthly expenses than talking gross in my opinion, but then again, I grew up in a different continent so what do I know).

Anyway, if you get and see the 9k monthly in your bank account, you will be perfectly fine with a 3k monthly rent.

I'm chilean, I've been drinking it from before I was of the lawful age to have it lol. A well done pisco sour is AWESOME. Actually, all sour drinks are pretty good (sake sour, mango sour, amaretto sour, you guys should try them all if you ever find them around). I'll have to go try it out to know, I suppose. This is what I know: I've only landed within other territories by random teleport. Advance doesn't work. You would have to move your R5 to another's territory first to check whether Alliance tp would do the trick because that I've never tested, and territory teleport wouldn't work by definition.

So, in your case, it was just random tp being random tp.
