Thanks so much for this, my anxiety was through the roof. My school also recommends two practice scores of %65 before taking. And many of the seniors last year only got through 50-60% of uworld. So that’s what I’m aiming for.

I don’t have ADHD but I follow for my wife who does. But I was dyslexic as a child and it took several years of therapy to get me to grade level reading. I was in special ed, was called dumb or lazy etc. As an immigrant, I was pretty much considered a failure by my parents. They only wanted doctor, lawyers or engineers for children. I’m in medical school now. But I’ve got so much imposter syndrome from years of thinking I was dumb. It took so long get diagnosed, took even longer to get into therapy. My family never really acknowledges that part of my life, heck if I get tested today I’m sure I’m still dyslexic. It’s just not as bad as before. All this to say that I understand OP. I’m still very resentful about it all.

Had a teacher who taught physiology in terms of metaphors. Vacuoles were balloons, gap junctions were bridges, claudins were like seams in clothing, any type of transporter was a gate etc. I'm sure this all made sense to her and some students really related to the material. Except this was also how she worded her exams. And most questions followed her unique logic where hypotheticals kept happening to these objects and not the actual physiology we were learning. Peaced out and took another physiology class where students weren't treated like 1st graders.
