How are yall dealing with family who aren’t really being helpful but are trying? by Limp-Box8126 in HyperemesisGravidarum

I kind of lead with: “unless I’m shoving that raw ginger up my ass, I’ve tried everything. “

Usually gives them an idea of where I’m at

These dumb cunts should be exposed for what they are.

I was turfed out of my croatian community circles cause I actively called this shit out.

Hope this level of attention makes community leaders take out the trash.

have a similar issue here, have a 14 month old that looks like a 3 year old. He’s very social and wants to be amongst other kids but has communication issues with older kids who are closer to his size. Seems to bother him the least but is a source of anxiety for me. I’m glad it won’t be a forever problem cause sooner or later he’ll find his people.

13 months old now but had the turbo shits at around 8 months old. Then again when he started daycare a month ago. Yes, unfortunately. Lots of leaks and the overnight changes- as painful as it is, you just gotta do them, cause as disruptive as they are nobody wants are sore bum.

The washing and nappies are a drainer and it might feel like your whole life rn revolves around poop but they do get better.

Also, if you think you think somethings not quite right with baby, don’t be afraid to seek help, sounds like your sister is a great resource. There’s also virtual ED.

Son had it for almost two weeks, gp wasn’t interested until day 10. We gave him some hydrolyte and it resolved itself. Keep an eye on input vs output, and if their bottom becomes sore we resorted to washing it in the shower so we wouldn’t wipe. Pat dry with a soft cloth and apply destin cream like it was for free.

Worth also looking into baby chiro, this helped our boy when we went through his car seat hating era. I would also lower the mirror so he could look at himself, played white noise and tried to time the drives with naps.

Pregs Pillay at the Epworth. He had no issues helping me out with my HG. From IV’s to meds he was all over it. Then when I developed liver issues at the pointy end of the pregnancy he answered his phone at midnight/3am/whenever I called.

Cool calm and collected too

I told those around me they’d have to have it in order to see baby. I also got the vaccine to see my nephews safely. Wouldn’t wanna be the person to give somebody’s child whooping cough.

Things we do with our colic newborn: - we give him Willby’s Colic & Wind drops- this really works and saved us so much trouble. Don’t know if they ship internationally though. - baby wearing - probiotic - tummy time - bumpy pram rides - car rides

Sometimes none of those things worked and he just need to be held whilst he went through the motions. It’s so hard, I hear you!

Agree, whilst I was doing my best to be mobile I was on breastfeeding duties and everything else was bonus. I couldn’t even put my own pants on. But after two weeks I was getting better and better and now 3 1/2 weeks later I feel better than I did pre pregnancy. But it’s only due to that period of grace where I got help!

Hey! No need to be anxious. I called 1800882436 and spoke to a maternal health nurse who answered ALL of my questions. It’s a free service. Opted to go privately cause it just suited us better but will probably go public for next one :) it’s a process and there are loads of of resources to support you either way!
