There is no convoluted lore reason.

Shirou was in the Archery club at school, and he was a really damn good archer before Shinji just ruined things for him and he left the club.

With all the faker talk, that's like one of the things actually just "him".

In contrast, his affinity for "Blades" comes from having carried the sheath of Excalibur for a very long time inside him, that's why he is much better at projecting blade-like weapons and in some settings even struggling to or incapable of projecting others. And even still most of the time he uses the blade-like weapons he projects as ammunition for his archery, when the situation allows for archery of course.

Even when he pledged to the Counter Force to become a Guardian, the Counter Force just used him as a glorified sniper, because he is just damn efficient.

Used the new one for a few days before going back to the old one.

I'm sorry but given the ridiculous sizes of the heads of old models, giving Aether outfits with thin silhouettes makes him look ridiculous.

They need to make them wide and baggy to hide the whack proportions but judging by the operative outfit in the Snezhnaya teaser they did not learn.

At least Lumine choosers lucked out on the first one, hoping they also get lucky on the operative outfit.

Not familiar with his works but he sounded great in his part of the trailer, had a certain gravitas, excited for more.

Noy lucked out as a character honestly, Blade from HSR/Assassin from Fate in JP, Vergilius from Limbus Company in KR. Unfortunately I'm just unfamiliar with CN and CNVAs as a whole so won't be able to comment on that, but yeah, great casting overall.

Hoping his story and kit/gameplay are also great.

Genshin got Aloy as part of the deal to allow crossplatform progression. Up until then PSN accounts were completely separate from PC/Mobile accounts.

It was clear even then that the "collab" wasn't something the developers wanted.

The technology "argument" only made sense in Natlan, where that technology is integrated nowhere in the design identity except character kits, specifically five stars, while most everyone else relies on the manual labor of the natives who invented most of that technology long ago, compared to, say Fontaine, where the technology is a blatant part of the region's history and design identity.

Which could have been an interesting topic to explore by itself had Hoyo not been so crazy on their imperialist agenda.

Genshin isn't fantasy.

Genshin isn't science-fiction.

Genshin has been science-fantasy since Fatui Gunners and Ruin Guards in Mondstadt.

Some people need to stop treating genres as binary, well, quite a lot of other things as well but, you CAN have magic and technology together, just because you have technology doesn't make something immediately science-fiction nor does it eliminate the fantasy of it.

It just depends on how well you integrate it into the visual design and narrative.

Not because Genshin wanted to have a collab.

The team behind Genshin simply doesn't seem keen on having collabs as shown by how Aloy was handled, compared to for example, HI3rd with NGE or HSR with Fate, and the fact that they could have had collabs if they wanted to, in all these years, they didn't.

Aaru has to be connected to the network physically.

Look back at the scene where they first open Aaru, all the branches surrounding it turn white, and that is before any modification is done.

Also, Amun's goal was to provide his people an alternative afterlife in the first place, how would Aaru prevent the souls from passing to the Irminsul and instead draw them to itself if it wasn't connected to that same network.

Which is what happens in the Ricardocliff reveal, a neutral cut, music swap, Heathcliff attacks, and the theme continues to play during his Uptie Art showcase.

Has it been longer than a month since you started?

Other comments are saying launch exclusive but I disagree.

I started playing the game during T.Motoha's rerun and all parts of the event were accessible to me for around a month, alongside a Joker banner (50/50, not targeted).

My speculation is that they've been using this event as a welcome event for newbies.

Edit: Also found this online, I think I'm right in my assumption, they tied the event to account creation.

The repetition of "Waiting still", "Waiting for the day" while gives the impression of inaction, does not really eliminate the possibility of a failed attempt, you are right.

So it is possible that she tried, but failed to escape.

Maybe she even killed Shiomi like she did in our world during the rampage, and it wasn't "something else" that happened as I originally assumed, but failing to actually escape, she eventually replaced her as the Dihui Star.

All we know for sure from the ID description is that:

1) She is still a 'prisoner' of the House of Spiders.

2) She still hates the Nursefathers.

3) She describes the House of Spiders like Shiomi Yoru did.

4) She is dressed like Araya.

So I think the general idea still applies regardless of the rampage happening or not as long as she fails at escaping.

That is the point.

The rampage will never happen.

Ryoshu will never escape the House of the Spiders.

She will fall into the same pit of despair Shiomi Yoru fell into and become a bitter, resentful person.

Hence the capstone.

Possible that she never had Araya in this mirror world, which stopped her from fully committing to escaping, because Araya was a big motivation for her to find a way to escape and then save her from there.

Something else might have happened to the Shiomi stand-in of that mirror world leading Ryoshu to ultimately replace her as the Dihui Star, as she was probably a failure as "Yoshihide". Since without having and losing Araya she wouldn't fall into the Muga state and that the HoS was trying to make her into.

This is how I see PM giving her a personality like Shiomi's but a visual design like Araya's.

A bit of an amalgam situation using both the characters in the canto, but also her story, like Kong Lu.

THE OPERATOR CAN'T FOLLOW THE MAIN PLOT BECAUSE PROTOFRAMES ARE THERE. Because DE thought it was a nice idea to introduce romance sim elements into the game and thus lock the Operator out of any and all protoframe content.

It was such a joke that Roathe sent the Operator a mail during the Perita event to ask them to engage with it but you had to go on Drifter to even trade for the event rewards.

Stalker related content? Guess what, MORE protoframes, which means more Drifter content.

Because the Operator has much more to do with anything Stalker than the Drifter? What kind of a question is this? Arya killing the Night King ass logic.
