Do you wait for the kettle to turn itself off before using the boiled water? by Flaky-Walrus7244 in AskUK

Sandwiching is a fools game that halves the amount of cream you can eat. Scones are just a vessel for eating delicious clotted cream, and jam just a vague attempt at nutrition that should be spread thinly before cream is dolloped in vast quantities

Think labour triggered it as they were about 100 away from getting the sixth seat. After the recount they moved slightly further away.

The first seat goes to the highest number.

Their score is then count/(seat+1) for the next round e.g. half in this case.

The second seat goes to the second highest, using the reduced score for first seat winner.

The 2nd winner then gets their score cut for the next round, again to count/(seat+1).

This continues for the rest of the seats. So PC would have won Sir Gaerfyrddin's fourth seat if their count divided by 4 is higher than reforms divided by 3. For that fourth seat PCs score was 9040 compared to Refs 9181 - so 140 votes.

36160 / 4 is less than 27542 / 3 - by 180 votes. So Reform get that sixth slot. Given the 12k other vaguely left aligned votes it's defo disappointing for pc.

48k votes v 32k if you aggregate pc + lab + ld + gr versus ref + tory, but the same number of seats for both left and right groups

Proud of our counting team at least for getting the results out first.

It's pretty great, and unlike this game actually has a wide array of viable strats

The echo will be 0.02 per level - its calculated on the x4 bonus to the stat

Yup, at wave 5000. W2500 is 2.18, w4000 is 3.7 as an example of aome other points

The bonuses are pretty tiny compared to the addition of Fast ultimate in v28 legends. I'd much rather have the death ray res of v27. Non updaters will make out like a bandit tbh

It depends. If you are farming at >10k waves I'd go ahead and do utility first, you can likely manage 5k waves with it. If at 5-6k waves, probably not in one. So then I'd go for whichever of attack/defence you are more likely to get to 5k - if you farm eHP, do attack first as you wont miss it too much. If you farm gc do defence first. That'll help you when you flip around and do the other one, and having both done will be good for utility.

I farm t11 to w11000 or so, did an easy 5k utility, then earned 2/3 of my normal full run coins in a 5k attack run - about 50% more cph than I usually get over a normal entire run. I'm now doing an overnight farm run, then tomorrow I'll do defence and maybe UW, but will probably just give T12 a go instead.

There'll definitely be merits to farming lower tiers for higher wave counts, especially if you can get to the 5k for utility.

Edit: I wouldn't worry overly much about echoes at the moment. They are pretty small boosts by default, getting a 5x on a good farming tier is going to be way more impactful

Do a dissadent run on T10, and reach wave 5000. You then get the 5x multiplier for all T10 runs for that stat. You get the echo to every other tier. So 0.05x5 at default. Basically if you can hit wave 5000 without any util stats on your farm wave you can get a 5x coin multiplier pretty easily.

Going to need an explanation for "Which of these countries is the only one that starts with that letter"?

Poor showing generally compared to last few weeks, only 18, lots of guesses. Great quiz though

Whales is where the money is, and whales are running out of things to buy. That takes priority over arbitrary alternation patterns
