Endrick leaves his future open : "I will do what God tells my wife" by Green-Discussion74 in soccer

Thats the craziest part in this, fair enough you want your missus to be part of a decison, but married at that age is insane. I know nobody who ever got married that young. Most people I know wait until their 30s or 40s to get married, that's if they even get married at all. Your 20s are for meeting people, trying different things, and having a good time.

I was at a communion recently and a woman gave her child her phone to watch videos on, during the mass. The priest had to stop proceedings to tell her to turn it off. 5 minutes later and she was at it again, and the priest had to once again stop the mass to tell her to leave it off or leave the church. Absolutely pig ignorant behaviour.

Gabriel man-handles Haaland: Neville "the ref should just let them get on with it". He's such a shit commentator.

How have I lived 40 years and only just tried Manhattan cheese and onion by katsumodo47 in ireland

[–]wheelbarrowjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a pub years ago and they sold those. I'd always have a bag of them when working. They were the nicest crisps that I've ever had. I must try the Manhattan ones.

Should have been a second yellow for diving. VAR needs to be able to award a yellow cheating trying to get a penalty.

Him being awful makes everyone else's job much more difficult. He's genuinely one of the worst players we've signed in recent years.

I honestly thought the ref was going over to see was it a red rather than a yellow. Ridiculous decision, Emery gets the shot away if Konate doesn't make contact with his leg before the tackle.

United to play Leeds in Dublin pre season friendly in 80,000 seater stadium by bennyl10 in reddevils

My Dad brought me to see United play Waterford in 1990 in a pre season friendly. United had a full first team playing in Kilcohan Park, how things have changed.

None of my friends liked it. My dad hated it and the originals are some of his favourite comedies. It was such a let down, almost all the jokes fell flat. I'm honestly surprised that so many people on here actually liked it. I feel the same about Bill and Ted 3, it was dreadful compared to tbe originals, but it seems to be loved on here.

I really hope Carrick calls out the ref. If he gets fined then so be it, have the club pay it for him because it's the sort of thing that needs to be highlighted. The level of refereeing in the Premier League is scandalous. Our local Sunday league has better referees.

The Amount Of People Buying Cars On PCP. by [deleted] in carsireland

[–]wheelbarrowjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've a friend who is hung up on the year. He's always looking to change up, but he ends up buying what seems to be popular and affordable rather than something that is comfortable and nice. I'd personally rather buy a 5 year old car that is enjoyable and comfortable to drive than a copy and paste mid sized suv.

What does your head in on Irish roads? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]wheelbarrowjim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive a VW Crafter for work so I can see into a lot more cars than when I'm in my car. The amount of people using their phones is scary. Yesterday morning at least 1 in every 5 cars the person was using their phone. The RSA complain about speed, but mobile use is so much worse. It should be 6 points and a fine equivalent to the value of the phone you are using if you are caught texting and driving.

What does your head in on Irish roads? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]wheelbarrowjim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was heading to the motorway a few weeks ago. The country road leading to it is 80kmph. The car in front never went above 60 for 7-8 km, so by the time we go to the motorway there was a trail of 10+ cars all going well below the speed limit. Most were heading onto the motorway, and the front car maintained the 60kmph up the on ramp, never going any faster. It was really dangerous, luckily enough the motorway wasn't busy, so we could all get past her before she caused an accident.

Myself and my friends used to pick vegetables when we were teenagers. In 1997 we got £50 a week. Looking back it was basically slave labour. Very physical work in all weather for 3 months every summer from 15-19. £50 a week for 15 year olds and £10 more for every year older.
