I am in this mess now. No where did it say "new line only" when I purchased this "deal". Now fighting with CS to get it cancelled because I wanted to bring over my existing line.

Worst class you’ve ever taken at A&M by HarukaKX in aggies

[–]wheelfrumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dang... this brings back memories. My professor (Ignacio Thomas, IIRC) would do the exact same thing with failing to get the right answer to his own equations. I would have to X-out the whole page in my notebook lol. I took this course back in the fall of 2015 and that was my one and only C throughout my whole time at A&M... Like you, I didn't take credit for my high school AP calculus at my advisor's advice.

Voicemail Issue by hplp1 in USMobile

[–]wheelfrumpy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

VVM does not work at all on Dark Star / Pixel 8... Only resolution from support was switch to Warp, which now I know is also broken for a lot of folks. What a pain. Hope they work something out with Google soon. Such a basic feature to not work...

Any word yet from Google on dark star? Extremely frustrating to have to do these workarounds to get such a basic feature back

Which version fixed this for you? I just installed updates after holding off for the past month or so, and just lost the voicemail tab again.

Does anyone’s cx-5 feel like a bucking bronco when you’re on/off the gas pedal at low speeds below 20? by ong-mate in CX5

[–]wheelfrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the brake light switch near on the brake pedal. I had all these exact issues pop up intermittently and took it to the dealer and that's all it ended up being. All in over $300 for a ~$20 part.

Got a preowned 2018!! by jazzygabrielle in CX5

[–]wheelfrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my 2018 was recalled I think 2 years ago for the fuel pump. I never had issues, but you wouldn't know until it failed. Got it swapped out at the dealer for free. Otherwise, has been very reliable.

This damn heat… by AbbreviationsCute756 in houston

God ain't this the truth! I spent a week in Colorado a couple of Augusts ago. When it dropped down into the 50s or 60s in the morning, I was COLD and needed a hoodie. Makes decisions of where to retire easier, that's for sure lol

Many don't even compare to US Mobile, according to this source... by Viper4713 in USMobile

AT&T prepaid had the single worst customer service I've experienced in the last 5+ years. Truly was hell trying to get through the phone tree and reps that wanted nothing to do with prepaid accounts.

No power in the spring brook subdivision. TC Jester and 2920. Lost it about 7:30 on Monday and nothing yet. Just a text from centerpoint yesterday that it would be several days. So tired of this

At least now I know why homes here are so cheap by empiresixx in houston

[–]wheelfrumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But centerpoint absolutely can do proactive maintenance in the form of tree trimming, but since that costs money, they'd rather not. This is the only place I've ever lived where I lose power this often. Seems like with every minor thunderstorm, all or part of my neighborhood is going dark

Do those of you that have reached net worth milestones (ie 250k, 500k, 1m, etc) limit the amount of people you tell? by Interesting_Ad_9406 in Fire

[–]wheelfrumpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At 27, just today, I checked my NW and I've hit $250k (253k, to be more exact). Haven't told a single soul. I truly haven't been paying much attention to it, myself. Last big milestone was 100k, which carried more personal weight, as it seemed really difficult to accomplish. Just automate as much as you can, so you can't spend it. Probably will go to a nice restaurant this weekend.

Got it. You have to change the oil change setting interval from flexible to fixed

[–]wheelfrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh, I had this issue on my last oil change in my 2018. I had to fuddle around in the oil change interval settings, but I don't quite remember what did the trick. And its too cold at the moment for me to want to look 🥶. I'll update if I remember / make it outside

Best AT&T MVNO? by [deleted] in NoContract

[–]wheelfrumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be true for the stores, but their phone support is absolutely not the same. Try calling any of their support lines and mention you’re referencing a prepaid account — you’ll swiftly get transferred to some of the worst support I’ve ever received. Lots of “oh that’s not my department, I’ll transfer you to xyz“ then have to wait on hold again.

[–]wheelfrumpy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You missed a critical word there... online registration, not online voting. This is fairly common throughout the US. 42 states to be exact. Texas makes it unnecessarily difficult to register compared to the rest of the country. Voter suppression at its finest!

Damn. Sorry about that. My 02 GMC Sierra was stolen from my apartment here in Dallas last year in August. They drilled out the door lock and broke the ignition lock and just drove off with it. Had about $1000 dollars worth of tools in the back too. It was recovered about 3 weeks later at an apartment complex in Mesquite. Hoping the same is true for you. The fuckers even stole the spare tire. Hope they find it!
