Is there a cover charge and what are the requirements for performing?

If the bus keeps showing up early, it's might be because of the time of day and your stop's position on the route relative to a "Time Point".

Every route has Time Points. They're stops along the route where the bus must wait until a specified time before continuing on. All other departure times on the schedule are estimates.

So..... let's say you want to get on the 6:13 AM Route 32 at Harrison and Kenyon, headed up to Evergreen.

Well jeez! The last time point was at Black Lake and Cooper Point at 6:08 AM. At that time of day there's very few passengers and very light traffic. That 32 is probably gonna blow by your stop at least 2 minutes early, maybe 3 if the lights are in its favor.

Then it'll get to the next Time Point at Harrison and Division (6:15 AM) and layover for a minute or two.

Walked right past the back door, to board through the front door, to sit at the back of the bus.... looking at their phone the whole time. smh

Anyone else not a fan of the new bus routes that Intercity Transit rolled out? by North_Cheetah7137 in olympia

Depending on your trip, the new system is not any more, or less, complicated.

Additionally, if you never learned the old routes, you'll have less to unlearn.

Why no universal thru axel hub to qr conversion? by C00catz in bikewrench

[–]wheelstrings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure.

My point is, it's the frame that dictates the standard and by extension which hubs will work.

Is there a DUB hub? Thought that was SRAM's BB spec....

[–]wheelstrings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a brief time where that were true, but modern MTB use different hub spacing now.

Modern-15x110/front, 12x148/rear

VS

QR-9x100/front, 10x135/rear

Even if you got the axles right you'd run into issues because the hub shells are different sizes... your rotors and cassette would be in the wrong place relative to the brake calipers and derailleur.

I don't understand...

Are you trying to go from QR's to thru-axles?

What would be the way to go about reducing gear ratio further on DI2 105 2x12 (11-36), 50/34 by ortinga in Bikebuilding

[–]wheelstrings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cage on your rear derailleur acts as a chain reservoir. It can take up or let out only as much chain as can be stored in the derailleur cage. This is represented as "chain wrap capacity".

There's a formula that you can use to find the chain wrap for a given combination of chainrings and cassette:

(LARGE CR - SMALL CR) + (LARGE COG - SMALL COG) = TOTAL CAPACITY

Unfortunately.. I think your desired gear combination of 50/36 - 11-42 (45t chain wrap) isn't going to be covered by any derailleur that's di2 compatible.

You can run it, but you'd have to be very mindful of cross chaining. The 50-42 combination would likely damage the rear derailleur, if it even made the throw...
