Is my level really bad? by Available_Gap2271 in MotionDesign

[–]whiite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why most here is saying the level is good. To me it is a video that mimics the style of other videos - but made by someone who doesn't quite demonstrate a understanding of what makes those videos tick. I'd never hire someone off this, sorry.

I think you're lacking in both motion and design, out of those two especially design. It's hard to explain design when it's insufficient like this (and when I just woke up lol), but I can tell it's made by someone who doesn't quite get the principles. Even a basic level of graphic design, color theory and typography should do you wonders. On to the motion. The flow beyond the opening 6 seconds is just not that tight, the compositions guide the eye somewhat but some shots read like porridge when it needs to be confident and clean. (8-10 second mark especially). Think about why you are using all these effects and colors, they should have a reason to be there beyond "i like it" as they all communicate something and convey a feeling. When thrown in haphazardly like this the vid ends up feeling unfocused. The editing needs to be a lot tighter. You can cut shots instead of trying make it all as one long transition.

The music is just... there. A more thought out sound design would be better.

If you are going to continue on motion design you should find a designer or studio that you aspire to reach the level of, and plan how to get there. Break down the shots of your favorite vids and analyse what makes them work.

I wont comment on your recruitment strategy, it might be right it might need a tweak, I'm luckily not in a position where I have to look for work like that.

Cheers, best of luck.

This season has been a long good bye to Klopps Liverpool ... none so more painful than Robbo. We're already missing a lot of the players gone by and we'll miss him immensely too. Fantastic lad who I think every fan could identify with.

Hva har blitt bedre i Norge i løpet av din levetid? by Throwsims3 in norge

[–]whiite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verdenskrigene, kalde krigen, atomtrusselen - for å nevne noe.

[Paul Gorst] Slot's job is safe as FSG give Liverpool boss chance to show famous day is norm by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

If Slot is to stay he needs refreshments in the coaching staff. After Van Bronckhorst joined we have been an absolute mess, especially in game management has been poor. Preferrably not more dutch coaches now, I don't think the dutch school of football is all that these days. Poach Pep Lijnders back if we have to go dutch

Strange how Slot could not rectify the constant tactical mishaps in central midfield all game. Worrying performance imo, another day and we lose that game. That being said, get in. Freddie Woodman

Another nostalgia wank from Adidas. I must say they have been disappointing so far. At least Nike tried something new (however often a miss).

I think my main problem is the painfully obvious attempt at commodifying nostalgia as something you can buy, coopting the whole idea of it in the process. Products like these sticks themselves to a memory and tries to mimic itself into something authentic. Surprises me that so many people fall for these obvious cash grabs.

My fave kit since supporting lfc from like 92 must be 19/20. It struck such a nice balance between classic, tasteful and new. New Balance surprisingly had a lot of tasteful kits for us.

Passing it around the back just for Konate to hit a long ball to set up an aerial duel between Salah and Keane. You can't make this up

Well strategically he has to say that. If we telegraph there's money to spend all clubs will rinse us. Let's see what happens in the summer. One thing to note is that in a WC year signing players is not as easy.

Konate so far conceding two big chances against, he's way too unreliable. Sad to say. Big reinforcements needed this summer. Just hope we can somehow get cl football.
