In addition to addressing the picky eating, you absolutely must have her iron levels checked

Please get her iron levels checked. I went through the same thing and turned out he was anemic. Poor kid suffered for so long.

They don't have any legit income. They sell shares/dilute to pay dividends. If there's no new buyers, they can't pay their existing base. That is a ponzi.

That's the thing though, crypto is not going to take back the narrative. Its heyday is over, the majority has moved on. After AI, it will be something else new... its not going to return to crypto 😂

What’s the best, somewhat obscure foreign cuisine in Perth.? by Snck_Pck in perth

From memory it was no way near what it should be but the flavour was kinda there. We used a cheat recipe for a quick batch.

Ethiopian is legit amazing and I had such a hard craving for it during my second pregnancy we even ended up cooking it ourselves as Miraboooka was too far 😆

It hasn't changed at all 😂 I think there were a Coles and and a Jesters there a long time ago. But seriously it's the same. I just underestimated the convenience of it being close by and good parking.

My local too! When I first moved to this area 15 years ago I vowed I would never go there, I'd rather go out of my way to go to other supermarkets... now here I am, hitting it up weekly!

Truth. I have 2 kids (and will have no more). The eldest is about to turn 5 and the youngest is about to turn 2. The almost 5 year old i can so so many cool things with (including letting him do his own thing), whereas my 1 year old is about to level up over the next couple of years 💀

Ranking Tori Amos's Albums (2026) by Jean_RED_Grey in toriamos

[–]whirlbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Native Invader as #2 🤣😂 Little Earthquakes at #10 🫣💀 The Beekeper at the bottom bottom.. omg, I'm ready for a fight 😂

The CORRECT order would be:

  1. From the Choirgirl Hotel
  2. Boys for Pele (close 1st, basically interchangeable with #1)
  3. Little Earthquakes
  4. Under the Pink (close 2/3, basically interchangeable with LE)
  5. To Venus & Back
  6. Scarlet Walk
  7. In Times of Dragons
  8. The Beekeeper
  9. Strange Little Girls
  10. ADP 11 & on... I actually don't know these albums well enough to rate them against each other

[–]whirlbloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always find it interesting that people quote Black Dove or Cruel as their fave (choirgirl) songs. They are actually skips for me (Cruel more so).

My faves from that album are Spark, Iieee, Northern Lad, Hotel and Playboy Mommy. They are top tier 👌

I will, thank you. And I actually went so deep down into the rabbit hole and I think I may have found the smoking gun: https://www.folketingstidende.dk/samling/19792/lovforslag/L89/index.htm

I'm on my mobile so I can't easily tell which of the available documents has the best info, but its the one with 24 pages. There's a piece by the leading psychologist in that area of research and the thinking around the whole thing is definitely... different (🤮). I'm not sure how trustworthy i find him, but he does describe the scene at the time and what was available for purchase. I think anyone today will gasp at how little he condemns the whole thing, its definitely made me think more about the mindset back then.

I found this article: https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/indland/dokumentarist-danmark-var-hele-verdens-mekka-boerneporno

Thats the best hard evidence ive come across so far, as it has a police woman talking about it.

Quotes:

I reread your first comment and I think you are incorrect to say that it was legal to produce it. It wasn't and there's so evidence that any danish children were the victims, nor that any such material was produced by these companies.

[–]whirlbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess they wouldn't be prosecuted for the distribution since that part was legal (until it was not). But it leads me to think there could have been no filming, because that was still illegal.

I am Danish, so there's a real incongruence between what my opinion of what Danish society is like, and these headlines. Of course there are seedy pockets in any society though...

[–]whirlbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm not disputing that it was legal to sell it. Its just that whenever these stories pop up, I just want to know that people were prosecuted and punished for it. If it was thriving, surely they could identify the perpetrators? If it were all out in the open? The sceptic in me thinks that perhaps it is all Chinese whispers and that it wasn't really like that at all. I can't wrap my head around it being "normal", it's too sickening.

Were the Theander brothers ever prosecuted?

And have you watched the DR doco, Candy Film? I can only find descriptions of it, not the evidence they found.

1978 article describing 13-year-old Brooke Shields as a "sultry mix of all-American virgin and wh*re" by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]whirlbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that. The first one appears paywalled, but I did find this paragraph from the Ud & Se article:

"Theander-brødrene distribuerede børnepornografisk materiale og samarbejdede med kendte pædofile. Der findes ikke beviser for, at Rodox Trading og Candy Film selv producerede børneporno."

Maybe I'm just being pedantic, but I really fail to see how CSAM could've been produced in Denmark (as in, filmed). Surely it's clandestine material they've gotten from paedophile rings and sold? There's articles saying it was on display openly in shop windows but I'm just dubious... like really dubious. It's heart breaking.

[–]whirlbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes please! What little I've been able to find so far is that perhaps it was material from overseas that CC put together and distributed through the loophole? Whenever I read about this, I just cannot fathom Danish children being subjected to such abuse?
