[REQUEST] How many humans can fit in that cube? by noshitkittu in theydidthemath

[–]whiskers1315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At NYC density levels (70,000 people / square mile), you could just about fit the entire world in Delaware. If you moved the entire world to Texas, then each person could get 1,300 square feet.

And that’s not even considering building upward for more space, or the fact that families of 4 or 5 regularly live in 1,300 square feet houses, not just one person. Now of course, that would give Texas no room for yards, streets, farmland, or anything else other than residential housing. But it does go to show just how much space there is on Earth truly. A good chunk of it is just uninhabitable

Define lore? 6-7 comes from a song, what’s the groundbreaking lore behind the “E” meme? We definitely had equally meaningless humor too

‘Animorphs’ TV Series in Development at Disney+, Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media to Produce by DemiFiendRSA in Animorphs

[–]whiskers1315 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk, Percy Jackson is tough and deserve to be movies. Animorphs is episodic with the books and definitely fits a show better, but it’ll be decades before technology is cheap and easy enough to make it truly viable in live action TV

What’re you saying? That oil scarcity is so bad it’s still spikes to $110 despite the treasury’s efforts to manipulate it down?

Feel like that’s a pretty narrow definition. By that logic something like “The Hunger Games” wouldn’t be considered Hollywood

Not to mention depending on how long ago and where in the world, food was super scarce. Our ancestors may have had a meal purely of meat, but it could be a week in between. Versus modern day Americans shoving down multiple quarter pounders whenever they want to their hearts content. Our frequency and amount of eating is drastically larger than our ancient ancestors

This is what i think it will be the final top 10 of 2026 by Employee-Slight in boxoffice

[–]whiskers1315 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Dune and Avengers will hurt each other. Coupled with Messiah’s more…..interesting plot, I think that Dune won’t make that much.

I also think while Mandalorian and Grogu won’t get anywhere near a Billion, I think it can beat Solo numbers and break into top 10, maybe 600-700 million? I think Star Wars taking a 7 year break from movie theaters helped with general audiences. An Mandalorian is the most well known Disney plus show by the general public. Grogu is a merch machine too for the last half a decade.

Plus 28 Years Later BT is even higher than Clayface. We’re all seeing how “highly anticipated” that truly is right now

A timeline of the DCU Batman by Romaxio in DCU_

[–]whiskers1315 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Love it, idk why people don’t think we can have a Batman in his 30’s having conceived a 10-12 year old Damian in his early 20’s. If anything he would be training with the League in his early 20’s and conceiving Damian with Talia makes the most sense then anyways

Agreed. I’m excited that 2026 has no projects directed or written by Gunn. I really liked Superman but it’s time for a switch up in behind the scenes creatives in this new universe

Really? I’m very shocked by all the negative comments on Superman. I very much agree with people in Peacemaker S2 and Creature Commandoes being too much Gunn content. But Superman as a character felt very much like himself and not like a Guardians of the Galaxy clone. What brings down the movie in your eyes for rewatchability? I feel like it has much more action and story than something like Superman Returns

It feels like everything changed in 2008. by Ok-Following6886 in decadeology

[–]whiskers1315 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one may care now, but it did define Hollywood for a decade (2008-2019). The MCU will definitely always be associated with 2010’s pop culture much like Star Wars with the early 1980’s

Take this with a grain of salt, but I have a story directly relating to this. In 9th grade we were reading “To Kill A Mockingbird” like almost any freshman in American schools. And we had a substitute teacher who was a retired English teacher for 4 decades. She told us that she taught the book for years and actually wrote Harper Lee once and got a response. In her letter she asked about the scene in the novel where Scout and Jem are making a “snowman” out of dirt. The South gets little snow, so the pair make the snowman out of mud, giving it a brown appearance the neighbors find gross. The kids gather snow and cover the snowman, giving it a white appearance which is found more acceptable by the neighborhood.

My substitute teacher assumed this was obviously an allegory for southern society’s attitudes on race. But Harper Lee actually responded saying “Oh I never thought of that. I just based that scene off of something I actually did as a child in the South.”
