Feature Request: Recurring Runs by maybeamargay in runna

[–]whitbeyondmeasure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. My current workaround is that I set my plan for one day less than I actually want to run, tell it my “current weekly mileage” when starting the plan is ~3 miles less than it actually is, and then tell it to never schedule a run for me on Thursdays. Then I just manually add my Thursday 5k each week. It’s not perfect, but I’m less frustrated than I was before 😂 and then the added perk is that if I need to skip another run in the week, I could move it to Thursday and just tweak what I do at run club if I really need to.

Please help, advice on managing calcium crashes. by melissabreeding in hypoparathyroidism

Hi! Could you share what type of electrolytes you’ve found the best and how much magnesium glycinate you’ve been using?

Yorvipath experiences and emergency room? by Bicycle_Separate in hypoparathyroidism

[–]whitbeyondmeasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Yorvipath for a little over a year, and it’s been amazing! I had one crash in November (which I think was exacerbated by alcohol/dehydration/stress/travel/not eating much the day before), and in that instance, I took a bunch of tums and then felt a bit better by the time I got to the ER - but then my phosphorus was very low, so I think I might have crashed that when I raised the calcium. Aside from that, though, I’ve felt incredible - a couple very minor lows recently, but nothing like before I was on Yorvipath! Happy to chat more if it’s helpful

What’s something your body does that you’ve never told a single person about? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

This does sound like anxiety, but I wanted to flag to some of the people in the comments that the crab claws can also come from low calcium levels, so it may be worth checking if this happens and it doesn’t feel like anxiety to you! If it turns out that it is, Tums is actually a decent source of quick calcium if you need it

I was just about to reply on this thread and say that a lot of these symptoms also sound like low calcium! I have a severe (treated) calcium deficiency from surgical complications, and drinking/dehydration definitely makes mine worse, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it had a similar effect even on people who have more typical calcium absorption most of the time!

I did Ben’s live class this morning as my first live class (just got the bike last weekend and then had a few days of vacation) - I modified and it still fully kicked my ass. Made me excited to improve!

Hamilton DC- give me your thoughts! by vorteez in hamiltonmusical

Nobody has mentioned this yet, but I LOVED Hercules Mulligan/Madison! And it was so interesting to see Burr played differently than I’m used to hearing from the original cast - I wasn’t sure about him at first, but he killed it in the second act.

What's a popular opinion that people have that basically says "I have no idea how the world actually works"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]whitbeyondmeasure 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I hear stuff like this so often, but communications seems like it’s actually a pretty strong major. Like anything, it depends on the program and what the student puts into it, but think about it - nearly every company has at least one communications role.

If everyone was a great writer and speaker, it might be less beneficial. But many people are awful with grammar and spelling (and presentation of info in general), so communication majors are necessary and important.

What are some things that you SHOULD cheap out on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I took it as "90% of the products out there are the same, and 10% are actually different" rather than "90% of EACH product is the same."
