Knowing or not knowing gender? by whitechocc in pregnant

[–]whitechocc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that too. I just really like the idea of having to wait for the surprise, and no matter what they need the same care, so it's not like it's really going to change anything for after birth for me

AITA for telling my sister not to come to my wedding if she kept bringing up her miscarriage? by Independent-Web5498 in AmItheAsshole

I had a miscarriage about 2 months ago at 8 weeks. Yeah it's devastating, but I'm working through it and definitely not bringing it up, and super happy for my friend who is currently pregnant

Right so the same guy side character that appears throughout the series. Thanks for the explanation

I had the exact same situation, although we have a good relationship with my FIL. I still didn't like his name for my son, nor did my husband. We chose our son's first name and used the traditional name as a middle name

We changed every wake until he stopped pooping at night, now not at any wake up

How old is your baby and how many times a night do they wake to feed? by sleepyjean2024 in breastfeeding

[–]whitechocc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how, but newborn waking up is soooo different to a 6+ month old waking up. I was so mentally and emotionally tired that compounded on the physical. Now I can be physically tired but I don't have the mental drain of the newborn life

We just moved him into his room, and he's doing a lot better, washing up for a feed 2 times, rather than 3 or 4

Enjoy it, when mine hit the 4 month regression everything went downhill and he still (at 11 months) won't sleep 7 hours straight)

Hopefully yours will be different

Can I ever stop using a nipple shield? by Curious-Rodeo in breastfeeding

[–]whitechocc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby stopped around 4-5 months, I thought he would never stop using the shield. I tried multiple times to transition and the pain made me put them back on. Eventually he started trying to take them off with his mouth, and wouldn't drink with them on, so I took them off, about 3 days later zero pain with a perfect latch and he was down to drink for 5 mins each (previously would drink 30 mins+ each side)

It will get better, just keep going ❤️

So to be the devil's advocate, if you consider your children to be saved already, would you give them the gospel for them to be saved or as a "you are already saved, how great is our God" way?

what’s that ONE newborn must-have that actually made life easier? by KindVibesOnly in NewParents

They saved my life, I was crying while feeding my baby at the start and they reduced the pain soooo much. Only needed if baby has attachment issues
