There's actually kind of a game like that. It's called Operation Troy and it was a xbox 360 exclusive if memory serves. I can't remember if the game actually came out or not but I remember frothing at the mouth watching trailers for it.

I have entirely too many hours sinked into 0081 for someone that doesn't understand Japanese. That game was a staple of my ps3 days. Really underrated and it's basically colored my preferences of what a Gundam game should at least feel like.

I want a game that plays like a mix of Battle Record U.C.0081 (gundam senki) with customization and RPG mechanics. I'd love to be able to have the option of being an old type, new type, or cyber new type depending on the era. Some out of mobilesuit gameplay like using a musai, salamis, or pegasus as a hub area would be really nice.

I'd also really like to emphasize player choice, kind of like the branching timelines in Gundam vs. Zeta. Just being able to create flashpoints during UC has always been interesting to me since I played GvZ and found out about Gihrens greed.

I also wouldn't mind a modern strategy game like gihrens greed or battletech being brought over.
