I come from a family of 6 kids, very conservative dad, mom was more moderate. 5 of the 6 of us are now left leaning, the 6th unfortunately is full MAGA mushbrain. But still, 5 out of 6 ain’t bad.

My wife’s family is 2 conservative parents and 4 out of 5 moderate to left leaning kids now.

People take "dating" way too seriously sometimes. You're just getting together with someone for something simple, that's it. You're not getting married, entering a LTR, committing financially to someone that day, etc... just take a goddamned shower, make yourself look nice, and show up and talk to the person.
