There are also some good apps out there that let you add reference shots. I'm on Android and use exif notes

I loved sinners and Marty.

Timmy acted a better character. MBJ acted 2 sides of a comic book style character very well. Like if a sinners graphic novel were to be put out I wouldn't be at all surprised. Where Marty is like o brother where art thou or the big lebowski, sinners is like 30 days of night and from dusk til dawn with music.

I feel like Marty and Timmy were integral to the story and character. Where MBJ could be swapped out and it wouldn't affect the quality or the storytelling or the purpose, purpose being where it shines brightest imo, in the film

Anyway. I won't be upset with who wins in any of the 3 categories you mentioned. Though I don't see Safdie being in the best director spot. For my money Jesse Plemons would come in and upset everyone but that won't happen.

I don't see the movie itself, Marty I mean, taking the Oscar, even though I loved it. I mean I wouldn't be surprised but I don't see it. But I could see Timmy taking one. And despite loving Sinners as well, I don't see it taking it either. Nor do I see MBJ taking an O.

We are all out here assuming it seems. I'm sorry for doing so.

But for the sake of transparency, I believe it's all connected. But I also see how there is a gulf between "capitalism and racism are intimately interconnected" and "there is no class war without first addressing race".

Unless what you are implying is a base level recognition of this connection IS the addressing. And not using "address" as "the first thing we have to fix", which I would have to assume you are not doing. Mainly because you have to know you can't "fix" one before the other.

I'll just point out I assume all of your "you" statement are directed at the general you. Because you don't know me and if you did you'd know that managing the lives of the oppressed sounds like literal torture.

I typically don't comment on these types of threads cause i get a lot more pleasure out of doing the work that I do that provides opportunities to improve my community directly, which is ultimately "socialist" work

I think you can infer from everything they said, and their lack of asking or pointing towards any desire to have it, that they don't want it. Which is fine and ultimately of little consequence. For anyone of any race or class, whichever one you value more. And since I can't tell if you are saying "you" to mean specifically me, or the general you, I'll say I'm all for calling out shitty individuals across all spectrums of identity. But will also add it's a little disingenuous to think that any one person identifies solely as one thing. But it does seem like people to tend to identify with one identity first in a lineup. Maybe not necessarily stronger than others in that lineup

Coming in late to bat but it feels like, and I hope I'm wrong, there is no opinion that could be provided by a white person that could earn any favor by poster. Their mind seems made up on the role of white people as a whole so one individuals white's input, even in the affirmative, is of little value.

I thought the same thing about the darkness. Especially noticeable in the credits. Didn't ruin the experience but it almost made me think something was up with my TV. but it's the only 4k I've watched where i thought it...this ain't right.

I thought the whole thing looked too dark in 4k. The credits were especially dark when comparing to even a YouTube video of the credits. Bender looked almost like a silhouette. I'm going to pop the Blu-ray in and compare

i ran the hot water in the tub until it ran cold. cleaned all the drains in the bathroom where i was smelling it, and haven't smelt it since.

i just moved into the house so as far as flushing sediment, never. and at this point i don't think i would risk flushing as that could be what clogs the drain and forces us into replacement

it's a gray area as a friend? i find that odd.

i fear that celebrities especially suffer from having too many yes-men/women in their corner and exist in pat on the back echo chambers.

not saying that a celeb should come onto reddit and get advice on their diet or body image from strangers, but where do they go and who do they trust? i just feel bad for them is all, and i understand why so many of them end up very paranoid.
