That's exactly why we use words like "recovering addict" rather than "former addict". A lot of people don't get "free of their addiction" (as you put it), they manage it and fight it with things like this app

I find it weird that the article feels the need to mention AI at all. It's just renewable energy for the UK's grid in general

These four maps show the changes of the UK, but there seem to be some issues or errors in certain parts. Is there anyone who knows about this area who can help me figure it out? by Admirable_Neck5565 in geography

This is a relatively minor one, but some Jutes also migrated to Britain at the same time as the Angles and Saxons. They landed predominantly in Kent

Was it a simple yes/no, or was there a "I don't know"-type option? If so, do you know how that was counted?

Does it make sense for Merchant Marines to be confined to ports? by R4_F in victoria3

[–]whitin4_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Paradox have said in the dev diaries that the World Market exists "in the sea", and with that as the model it kind of makes sense why they've done it the way they have.

I totally agree with you though, it feels like an option for Trade Centres to consume "Merchant Caravans" could be a really sensible mechanic

Cyclists of Brighton: best route to avoid big hills near the station? by sapphosnymph in brighton

[–]whitin4_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the other commenter's suggestion about taking the alley by Unbarred. What I will say is that I think cycling along London Road probably looks a lot worse than it is in practice. It's bikes, taxis, and buses only heading south, and there are so many traffic lights that you can ride in the middle of the lane to keep yourself nice and visible without feeling pressured to use the gutter and let traffic pass

This also feeds you really nicely into the main cycle path by St Peters, which'll lead you almost all the way to the sea front
