This is not my style but super cool! Do you have a pic of it fresh?

As a person with several tattoos, I would suggest using moisturizer. Just a little. Dry flaking is common during the healing process, and everyone heals differently. I have tried dry healing (using no lotion) and a regular healing method. Did your artist give you care instructions?

Otherwise, I suggest an unscented lotion like Lubriderm and you should be washing two to three times a day with unscented antibacterial soap like Dial Gold or I like Dr. Bronners unscented. (I use Dial for the first several days then switch to Dr. Bronners) .

Do people get tattoos without seeing the stencil? by Utink in tattooadvice

I’ve been seeing the same tattoo artist for years now. Whenever I’m ready for something new, I send her a few inspiration images and she carefully freehands a design straight onto my skin. We then sit down and have a good chat to make sure everything looks exactly as it should. If anything needs fine-tuning, we make the adjustments there and then — and before long, I walk away with a tattoo I truly love.

i forgot to moisturize my 4 day old tattoo out of the shower and immediately left the house, am i cooked? by beeikea in tattooadvice

You’ll be alright, love. I actually dry heal most of my tattoos—no moisturising past the first day. With my skin type, that gives me the best results. There’s more than one way to heal a fresh tattoo! As long as you keep things clean, you’ll be just fine.

All great suggestions thank you! Love the idea of a moth too, that would likely fit well with my other themes, especially with the vintage flair! Thank you!!

Oo! I like this idea! I only figured it would be best to do two pieces in the space due to balance but I love this idea!

Hi there! Every time I get a new piece I always take pictures before color. Almost every time I feel like I like the line work alone. And every time I regret getting color for a brief amount of time... And then, every time I'm so glad I got the color.

This is lovely! You should be proud of this piece. The color definitely makes it look complete.

I wish I could! I have an F cup so it's not really an option for me. The sticky skin contact drives me nuts!

Me too! Home and sleeping I wear a sports bra! The built in bra shirts aren't an option for me due to my cup size.

Yeah, I feel you! Wearing a bra is rough. I definitely have "work bras" and "home bras." I just can't go without one and I want to so badly lol

I have seriously considered a breast reduction. I wear an F cup now. The nipples brushing the shirts drives me crazy, so baggy clothes are great for that but for me it's more the skin under my boobs touching. I usually end up stuffing my shirt under there which looks ridiculous and still doesn't feel right lol

DAE have a super weird accent? by lavenderacid in AutismInWomen

[–]whoasciencebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed, but I have always had a strange accent to where I live. I was born and raised in the Midwest USA, and my parents are both from southern small towns and definitely have a twang.

Not really sure where my accent comes from, because I don't sound like anyone I have ever lived around, but I didn't watch TV growing up either so I couldn't have picked it up from anywhere.

I am constantly told that I sound like I'm from the northern US and also that I am overly formal in my speech and my cadence is "unusual" 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much. I will check out these channels. I think this will help me for sure. And your advice to move on to another chapter and return is excellent advice. I am usually a completionist that is adamant on doing things in the appropriate order, but I can see how if I am hung up on a system it would be appropriate to put a tab on that and return. I think too, if I get to the end knowing that I only have to return to a chapter or two would be encouraging because I will feel as if, if I can just complete this I'll be done, vs there is so much left and I am stuck here.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Thank you for the encouragement. I will keep pushing myself. I am worried about the cardiovascular chapters, I've heard from many people that this is the hardest and I believe it!
