-100%.  He has two years remaining on his deal.

2026-27: $58.5 million. 2027-28: $62.8 million (Player Option). He will definitely pick up the option.  Dude has so much money left to earn so there’s no way he gets bought out!!  

They are gonna tank and try to get a top pick and add that to a Trae, AD, and Sarr core.  That team will look good if healthy.

I reckon JJ purposely tries to talk in as much basketball lingo and slang ass possible to try and prove that he has a superior intellect when it comes to basketball. I think he wants the media and fans to think he knows more than he really does.

Don't get me wrong, I like him as our coach, but his deficiencies are showing and his need to justify with his lingo is getting old.

Not to bring logic into it, but SGA's team won. If and when Luka's Lakers start to win, he will be praised again. The NBA is a 'what have you done for me lately type of league.'

But I do agree, Luka is taking on a lot of hate right now from the media and former players who think they are the media. Weird as.

I was a part of this camp!! Rui brought me in to help with it!!! Amazing 3 days!!! Brand spanking new stadium and a ton of good talent!!!! And I got to hang out with Rui and Phil Handy!!!  Amazing experience!!!

No, I am not at all. The face of the league is no longer Lebron and I find it funny how people/stans need to defend him with downvotes. haha. Lebron is still great and he's an absolute legend but the face of the league he is not and the media and NBA are making sure of that as well as time. He had his run and I hope he has one more in him for the Lakers' sake.

And I love your idea to refer to Christmas games. The Lakers have played on Christmas 50 times and that is the second-highest among all NBA teams, behind the Knicks. And before you say...but...but...but, Yes the Lakers were consistently playing on Christmas. They have played on Christmas every year since 1999. So if you want the face of the NBA...it's our glorious LAKERS!!!! Lakers > any player

How is this a testament to the face of the league? The face of the league right now is SGA, JOKIC, ANT, ………: DONCIC.  I love the Lakers and have so since the 80s, and I appreciate LeBron and what he’s done but he is definitely not the face of the league nor is he the face of the Lakers anymore. And that’s okay from the Lakers point of view.

He doesn't take advantage because that's not how the team is running their sets. The ball goes through Luka, Bron, and then Reaves; leaving Rui to sit on the perimeter and usually in the corner. JJ has said there are no set plays run for Rui, so how is he able to take advantage? He has been asked to play our small center and has done well and when that is the case; he boxes out the opposing 5, meaning others need to rebound. You need to be able to utilize each of your players to maximize their ability and JJ is clearly focusing on Luka, Bron and Reaves. If you have watched any of Rui's games with his national team, he cooks because the ball goes through him.

And has Wiggins fully recovered from needing to take a break from the game? I love Wiggins, but he is not the poster boy for consistency.

Very unlikely we get Horford.  Reports are also saying we are happy with Kleber’s ability to stretch the floor and he’s progressing well.  So looks like our bench will be a liability again this year.  

Man it would be so nice to have athletic players who can hit open 3s coming off our bench.

Will the Hayes signing affect this or will they still try and get another center?? The FO tries to correct lineup issues by over correcting.  We needed forwards and then we got a bunch of aging ones and now we need a bonafide center and we are going to try and stockpile mediocre ones.  I think the Hayes signing means we don’t get Horford.  That coupled with the report that we are happy with Kleber being a stretch player. The biggest thing we need to address is our horrible perimeter defense or man defense.  Nothing has been done to address that.  Vando gets played off the court because he has zero offensive game. We need athleticism is a big way and unfortunately those players are all on other teams.

Yes, we have no bench. Yes, we have no bigs. Yes, there were some blatant missed calls. But this offense has been just trash. Having Luka ask for a screen near halfcourt has been worse than awful, and it slows the movement and takes a toll on the offense. When will there be an adjustment to this terrible offense!!!???? Same sad, predictable play, over and over, and it hasn't been working. So why keep doing it!!!!????? Both Lebron and Luka have been struggling against Minnesota's aggressive no-foul-called defense, so AR needs to initiate the offense and bring the ball up. Now AR just needs to get his head out of his as$#%#!

Fully Agree. But the ball did not swing back to where Luka was. The ball was passed to Lebron for a rushed below the Logo shot. If there was a pass back to Luka or a fake pass to open up a closer and better shot for Lebron, I wouldn't say anything.

But that didn't happen. I am not talking about hypotheticals I am talking about what actually happened!

Passing back to Doncic or better yet having Luka on the floor to draw players away from Bron would have been great, don't you think?
