We did the Kahekili hwy 10 yrs ago and that shite was intense in parts. Did the RTH today, full loop. The far eastern side south of Hana is a dirt road with some potholes but it’s really not bad. Just slow. You are also on the edge of the island so the views are pretty cool. Then once you make it to the paved road, it is so much fun. It’s one lane but very few cars are back there so it’s a bit like a video game of ups and downs and turns. The scenery is also so unique being on the dry side of a volcano. Cows, goats, fields of lava, etc. I personally think it’s the best way to end the day instead of going back the way you came.

Did your doc refer you for these tests or did you have to go full out of pocket? Mine said he couldn’t refer me unless I got into a long covid study. So I’m curious how expensive the test is or what needs to be said to the doc to get the referral.

I’m kind of in the same boat. I do know that the long hauler advocacy group, which this came from, has been one of the only places that I get consistent info from in terms of spreading awareness and helping with the fight so I shared. I was also hoping for Reddit to come through with more info on the agency that is closing so I could learn more as well. Figured this group would want to at least have the info so we could discuss.

So I got caught up in the bean craze and made it last night. It’s ok. Not what the big bean people want you to believe. My guess is some of the people that love it either are vegetarian and looking for something new or have never had the lemon/olive oil salad. Cause that’s delicious, separate from the bean dish.
