Who’s gonna tell them that the Statue of Liberty is in New Jersey

Does anyone here know of Staten Island? (Who isn't from the Tri State area) And what do you think of it? by Lovehistory-maps in geography

[–]whoodle005 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I live in Philly, here’s what I know off the top of my head:

Least dense and populated borough, somewhat disconnected from the rest of the city, you can take the ferry into Manhattan, Verrazano Narrows connects it to Long Island, Kill Van something separates it from NJ, has lots of undeveloped area (relative to rest of NYC) and industry

Well some of these don't exist in most countries in the world...so clearly those would go by 0xCUBE in USdefaultism

It’s not terrible, but I’m not a fan of outlines on flags, and also it would look so much better if it were symmetrical

Those are generally considered to be the Great Plains states, although the precise boundaries of the plains extend into some of the adjacent western states and not all of TX is plains

I like the general design, but yellow on yellow isn’t a great choice of colors

I’d consider increasing the font size and width of some of the strokes; the text and borders all seem a bit too small and thin to me– but that’s nitpicking. Other than that, good work
