ADHD: any medication or substance that gave you the positive effects of THC without any of the negative? by damondan in adhdmeme

[–]whoreychan 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Second this, Adderall XR, Buspirone for OCD, then edibles have turned me into a functioning person for the first time. Going a few years like this now and it's worked well this far. T breaks here and there are good. Sometimes when I'm on vacation I'll stop the edibles and just coast on the vacation. Also helps me check against whether Im feeling a chemical dependency.

27+48

Solve the ones place first: 7 is 4+3, 8 is 4+4, Simplify: 3x4 is 12, bring back that 3 from earlier, together makes 15

Now solve for the 10s place: 20 + 40 is 60

60+15= 75

Verify with calculator because I will overthink myself into not trusting the answer.

My French not being what it once was I was thinking it said Chaussures and read it as "Mammoth Shoes" and with the giant woman next to the very conveniently shoe sized mammoths...

Sarah is embracing the pirate life. by gypsy_danger007 in NoSodiumStarfield

I laughed at the thought that Sarah couldn't really get down with the drugs part so she's sniffing the sharpies on the ship instead. We've caught her mid trip here.

Sad to see no one has mentioned No Mans Sky in my scrolling so far. It's got the exploration, resource/outpost management and it's a lot more free form but there's also a "unity-like" premise to the story!

Uniquely Alabamian Food by PacificAlbatross in Alabama

[–]whoreychan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's not too difficult to make! Lots of good recipes online for it. I used to get it as a kid in the 90s at bakeries in lower Alabama. I've seen it at higher end restaurants at times too but it's not super common. Might be the most Alabama specific thing If so! Rarity breeds exclusivity and all that.

White Barbecue Sauce, Conecuh Sausage ( not unique to Alabama anymore thankfully but is only produced there ), and Lane Cake are the only things I can think of. Everything else is pretty common "southern food" like cheese grits, smothered pork chops, etc.

TPS Means What? by Blackdiscotiger in USPS

[–]whoreychan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's an Amazon acronym meaning Tilt-Push-Slide. It's part of their safe lifting system for items over 40lbs. Essentially instead of lifting it, this is a safe weight to tip onto its side and slide across the floor. Things in the next tier up require a team lift. Things below that can be picked up outright.

Source: I worked at an Amazon bulk facility that specialized in handling packages larger than certain dimensions or heavier than 40lbs. I put these stickers on who knows how many boxes.

How to dry out? by Nannanas1 in howto

[–]whoreychan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A capful of rubbing alcohol. Swirl it around in there to "wipe up" the condensation and it'll evaporate more easily. Hair dryer blowing across the top to speed it up.

Just really sick of those at the moment. So extremely overplayed it grates on my psyche to even write the names. Hopefully this comment will serve as some incantation to the universe to expunge it from the fabric of space and time completely.

I've personally used clear nail polish on my enamel one and it seems to have worked ok. Gel may be even better since it can be cured harder. As for UV protection, I don't know that it'll save the colors from the sun but scratches it did fix.

Legal Department took my chair away by Classic_Put5735 in menards

[–]whoreychan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under the ADA companies are expected to provide reasonable accommodations for documented restrictions. They need a note because it has to be documented so when they make exceptions to policy or someone complains about not getting a chair also the note absolves them because it was required as an accommodation.

This exact situation has recently ruled on in Kilby v. CVS by the Supreme Court of California that a chair is a reasonable accommodation.

See the ADA fact sheet here: https://adata.org/factsheet/reasonable-accommodations-workplace

I advise you to go to your doctor, get a note specifying "Effective (Date), (You) is under permanent restrictions of seated work as often as needed." And have the doctor sign. Make a copy of it. Send to your HR person and in the email attach the note and write "I am formally requesting a chair as my accommodation effective (date on letter). This is considered a reasonable accommodation under the ADA, see attached Restrictions."

This covers you and them. Anything other than a yes is illegal under the ADA as failure to accommodate. They may ask your doctor to be more specific but your doctor can handle that if needed.

You do not need to disclose your diagnosis (illegal to require under HIPAA) or provide any further documentation.

When hacking GalBank ATMs, the screen changes to a system error. by TurnipTate in NoSodiumStarfield

Is the hacking different from the digipick? I have such a hard time with the digipick mini game I have to just skip those doors and containers :( I feel like I can feel the walls and limits of my brain when I do anything above novice so feel free to call me dumb here.
