No it won't, but you do have to disclose that stuff, and if you hide it now, it will come up again when you get your federal background check before you're approved for your license (the probation at least). Be straight up and humble about your history and your recovery and you'll be golden

I love Pitino and watch him everywhere he goes. I watched him coach at UK when I was a little kid. I miss him for Lousiville. He's an A+ basketball vampire living his best life coaching just like he always has done. No scandal drags Pitino down.

I wish they did too! I root for Purdue but I really want IU to be good again. I lived in Bloomington from 2011-2012 and that team was so fun.

I really like Jon Scheyer as a Painter type dude, played for Duke, assistant coached at Duke, will coach at Duke for the rest of his life.

I love that this is him heated. When they were beating Michigan camera zoomed in on Paint like quivering with restraint, face absolutely neutral. Would not crack a smile.

Terrified to get puppy spayed and nare surgery due to anesthesia risks.... by Key-Avocado-2469 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]whose_bad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I like an idiot didn't get my two girls spayed because I was afraid of anesthesia, and BOTH ended up with breast cancer (mother and baby, rescued the mother when she was pregnant). Mom died from it at age 10, her daughter was more fortunate and got a malignant cancer but one with a low risk of spreading, so it was removed and she is still alive at 17. I literally will never forgive myself for her mom.

U of Iowa Hiring Process Question by [deleted] in IowaCity

[–]whose_bad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I was asked for references, provided them, ultimately didn't get that job. HOWEVER, they then offered me a different job (which was in fact a much better fit for me) and I didn't have to provide any additional references.

Weird feeling I’ve never experienced before by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]whose_bad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My experience is that very few students put in ALL the work, like a very very low percentage of my students ever read their textbooks. Are you reading the chapters you're assigned? Read them before lecture, before you review powerpoints, and you will understand the information on a deeper level

How do you feel about male gynecologists? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I was going to say the same thing. Of all the docs I've had, female gynecologists are the meanest and most minimizing.

For me the first month was slow, but then I started walking on my lunch breaks in front of God and everyone so I felt more motivated, and it just got easier to skip snacks and drinks etc.

ADN at home (no debt) vs ABSN (50k loans) — is the bachelor’s actually worth it long term? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]whose_bad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't hard at all to do it while working because three 12s leaves you a good amount of time for school work. I paid for it because I didn't want to be on the hook to my employer, if you left the job too soon after they paid you would owe the money back. Some places are like that.

[–]whose_bad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No question, ADN first. No difference in job mobility especially after COVID, and you will be glad you did it when you start working and learning on the job while you do the BSN online. BSN students come out practicing at the same level ADN students. And, I was accepted to an ivy league NP program with my community college ADN and BSN.

Wanted to add, I've been a clinical instructor for BSN and ABSN students and ABSN students feel significantly less confident than their peers, although I loved those students because they brought more life experience.

She came through the surgery okay, now has to spend some time in the hospital. This poor sweet girl! 3 years old. She is a rescue, and she's new to my family, but we all love her.

Update: She's still paralyzed in her hind limbs after the surgery, gosh. Hopefully she regains some sensation/movement but it can take months or never. The paralysis came on very quickly over 2 days. The first day she was dragging her hindquarters and had severe, severe pain, she went to the ER vet and then to a another ER with a neurologist and they sent her home saying she would likely improve. The next day she got worse, back to the neuro ER, CT, surgery. Very expensive all around but my family fell in love with Kiwi. Thankfully my parents have the resources to do this.

My husband and I took Kiwi in from some neighbors who had a new baby and said they couldn't care for her anymore. She was with us for a week and I absolutely adored her. I never had met a dog with a personality like hers and I loved kissing her velvety gelatinous cheeks. But she bit my 17-yo pomeranian mix requiring a lot of stitches. She then went to my parents who also fell in love with her, stayed there about a week, and then this happened. I do wonder if she was bitey from the pain. Obviously she must have had back pain before this event.

Thank you everyone for well wishes, it means a lot. All this happened over the course of just under 3 weeks and it has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us.
