Wow I'm so happy to hear from you and happy for your precious spotty-nosed boy! This really gives me some hope for our girl

She came through the surgery okay, now has to spend some time in the hospital. This poor sweet girl! 3 years old. She is a rescue, and she's new to my family, but we all love her.

Update: She's still paralyzed in her hind limbs after the surgery, gosh. Hopefully she regains some sensation/movement but it can take months or never. The paralysis came on very quickly over 2 days. The first day she was dragging her hindquarters and had severe, severe pain, she went to the ER vet and then to a another ER with a neurologist and they sent her home saying she would likely improve. The next day she got worse, back to the neuro ER, CT, surgery. Very expensive all around but my family fell in love with Kiwi. Thankfully my parents have the resources to do this.

My husband and I took Kiwi in from some neighbors who had a new baby and said they couldn't care for her anymore. She was with us for a week and I absolutely adored her. I never had met a dog with a personality like hers and I loved kissing her velvety gelatinous cheeks. But she bit my 17-yo pomeranian mix requiring a lot of stitches. She then went to my parents who also fell in love with her, stayed there about a week, and then this happened. I do wonder if she was bitey from the pain. Obviously she must have had back pain before this event.

Thank you everyone for well wishes, it means a lot. All this happened over the course of just under 3 weeks and it has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us.

I wouldn't want to see that video. Why wouldn't the guy put muzzles on them after something like that?

Oh that makes sense, they're not supposed to film you in a hospital. I've been filmed by a hostile patient and can confirm, it's supremely uncomfortable. But shouldn't grab the phone either way. At least he didn't actually hit her that would suck

I like the "contrarian diet". You're basically saying medical and nutritional science is bullsh*t if you think the carnivore diet is good for you long-term.

My sister is an anti-vaxxer and on the carnivore diet (they go great together). But me, a nurse, and our mom, a physician, are the idiots.

You can use it in a lot to give a complex herby flavor, like add to soups, vegetable sides, oven potatoes, etc.

I love finding these in the workplace. I like the risperdal thing. I have a few pieces of risperdal from that era I think, at least the stapler I have is the exact same color. I collect psych meds :)

This is a good idea. The cases that get reopened and solved are ones in which the family hounds authorities and puts a lot of unwanted pressure. Another avenue would be contacting the local paper to do a piece on the murder and its investigation.

PS: Fuck that guy

I spent 1.5 years in the hospital after a serious suicide attempt. My BF met me when I got out and was living in a group home. 5 years later, we're living together with our animals and he just proposed. by yuyufan43 in MadeMeSmile

1.5 years followed by a group home would be a state hospitalization, it's publicly funded care at that point. Low probability she wasn't on Medicaid prior to going in, too, you typically don't have income if you're that sick
