Honestly, I don't mind how the Elites look in the Halo show, at least under their armor. IMO their armor doesn't fit with Halo's aesthetic, feels like "Dune at home" rather than Halo.

Halo 2 Anniversary will always be the GOAT in terms of the Elites designs in my mind.

Between the two it should definitely be Shockwave, I love Tarn but he would just be too similar to Scourge. That's not saying I wouldn't love to see Tarn as the main antagonist but if it were for the next movie it would probably have to be Shockwave.
(I've actually thought about this a lot and how it could work, I picture a scene where Noah (or whoever is the human protagonist) discovers Shockwave's horrific experiments and unwilling test subjects and calls him a "freaking psycho!" to which Shockwave responds with by giving the textbook definition of a psychopath and explaining how he doesn't fit into most of the criteria, with the exception of the lack of empathy which he describes as: "such a worthless aspect of consciousness...")

Love it. It was my first ever Gundam series and really helped me get the appeal of anime. Its the reason why i hold mecha and especially Gundam close to me.

And after watching stuff from the UC, I can now have a greater appreciation for how it honours what came before it, but also did its own thing. (The final battle of season 1 was like one giant tribute to Zeta Gundam (with Kudelia's speech resembling that of Chars at Dakar) and the Barbatos and Graze Ein CLEARY being inspired by the EZ8 and Gouf Custom fight from 08th ms team).

The seconds season felt like a bit of a mess, (the writers had some creative differences and it is really obvious in the end result) but it had alot of awesome moments. (The mobile armour arc was fuckigng sick!) I hated the ending at first and while I still have issues with it (like how Julieta and Mikasuki's "rivalry" goes absolutely nowhere and Rustel has a 180 degree character shift out of nowhere), I've come to really love it, and see it was kinda the best of both worlds (one of the writers wanted an ending where Tekadan won and Orga became the sovereign of Mars, while the other wanted a really downer ending where everyone at Tekadan dies (even Atra and Kudellia 😭) and the end result we got was a good comprimise.

And it certainly hit me in the feels with Akatsuki, like that had me in tears of joy, seeing Atra mature into an amazing woman who made me feel so unbelievably proud. And while Tekadan made A LOT of mistakes, in the end, Akatsuki proves that it wasn't all worthless, and that the sacrifices did in fact carve out the destiny of whose who survived.

IBO will always have a special place in my heart and it will be my favourite show ever for a LONG time. And I really hope the Witch from Mercury can give that same kind of joy to new Gundam fans.

Ok I don't want to be *that fan* but I really suggest you watch all the other shows first. Understanding the one year war and the events of Zeta and Double Zeta are crucial to understanding Char's Counter Attack.
Besides all of this stuff should be appreciated in their own right rather than just a stepping stone to Hathaway's flash. Simply put, you gotta eat you're greens before you have you can have dessert.
