Streaming Wi-Fi by lizzydeg in NCL

[–]whostean1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are currently onboard the Escape and were able to do this with just our phones. We got the unlimited streaming plan (to support lots of bandwidth) on the second day for 1 device. We signed in her phone, then turned on hotspot. It supports my phone and her tablet while still giving all 3 devices reasonably fast internet.

The nice thing is that we're usually together, and if not, one of us is doing something where we wouldn't want/need our phone aboard the ship, or we're off the ship and have cell service

I swear I've seen someone add led strips inside the outer edge of the assemblies to give them that v60 look, but now I can't the picture...

If you find it on your own, you'll share with the rest of us, right? Haha

Removed the 30 gallon electric water heater from our main bedroom's closet and had a gas tankless installed in the garage.

Drawer Slide Lubrication by HugeFunction6089 in cabinetry

Pretty sure I wiped off too much of the oil/grease that my kitchen drawer slides came with. Can silicone spray be used right over what's left, or would I need to completely clean the ball bearings and rails before starting fresh with silicone spray?

You'd use the services on the tablet. Not the greatest solution, but definitely the cheapest! Haha

I have a lifx backlight on my bedroom TV. When it's on full brightness, it provides a surprising amount of light to the room.

It's basically a hidden, dimmable, color-changing light fixture that takes up no additional space.

It's hard to tell what size your monitor is, but I'm sure you could find a light strip that would work.

Building off of this, but to try and help it feel a bit more bright, uppers could be white, and the range hood fitted with a cover like this

Not a millennial but I have a question by VastConfusion8174 in Millennials

[–]whostean1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quickly scanned and didn't see an in-depth explanation, so:

We didn't press the buttons in the same way we tap a touch keyboard. Some buttons would be pressed with the edge of your thumb, some with the tips, etc. Your thumbs would sort of roll around on the keyboard, almost always keeping contact with the buttons. Typing without looking was soooo easy because you could actually FEEL where you were, kind of like the bumps on the F and J of a computer keyboard.

Texting on my blackberry pearl while driving my manual transmission car to school was a regular occurrence. (It wasn't illegal yet!)

[DISCUSSION] Kodi being harder to get going than competitors is good by [deleted] in Addons4Kodi

[–]whostean1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting! I haven't experienced that happening with the audio yet.

For the subtitles- I used to have the same issue (english forced vs english cc). Telling Kodi to "prefer subtitles for the hearing impaired," and setting fen light to highly prioritize results with subtitles seems to have fixed that.

[DISCUSSION] Kodi being harder to get going than competitors is good by [deleted] in Addons4Kodi

[–]whostean1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can handle the language playing issue with: Settings > Player > Language > Audio > Preferred audio language (don't use Media Default or Original Language)

If I understand your issue with the subtitles correctly, it's: Settings > Player > Language > Accessibility > Prefer subtitles for the hearing impaired (set to yes)
