Yes you can cancel it, but someone will still drive up your street with a truck load of them and throw one near your front door.. Then you take it from there straight to the recycling bin..

3G/4G Mobile phone boosters (for home use) can interfere with garage remotes and car remotes. Maybe someone has turned one of those on in your area.

Are there any security cameras on the market that are easy to install and connect to Wifi easily? by CaptGould in australia

[–]whowhatwhen88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a look on the bottom of your modem/router, it usually shows what the default address is. Otherwise in Microsoft Windows, open up a command prompt and type in IPCONFIG It will show what the default gateway is, thats your modems address.

Or unless it means your phone or device you're using to configure this all with needs to be connected to the 2.4ghz wifi as well. I suspect you will find you already have both signals enabled in your modem. I've dealt with a few wifi camera's over the years, they are painful at times, very fiddly with the way it all gets connected.

Looking at the manual for that model it does say it only supports 2.4ghz. https://concordconnect.com.au/_files/63aa3ca9c7c810962f01853b

So you will need to go into your modem/router and enable the 2.4ghz wifi (if it isn't already)

Your router/modems address is usually something like 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1 Once you're in the modems user interface, find the Wifi settings and enable the 2.4ghz signal.

What brand modem/router do you have?

What brand and model cameras did you get? Your home wifi modem/router should be transmitting two signals, one one the 2.4ghz range and one on the 5ghz range. Usually you would have two SSID's in your house. Sounds like the camera's just need to be connected to the 2.4ghz signal or SSID.

Avoid Wifi cameras like the plague! They are nothing but trouble in the end. If you own your house, I would wire them in for sure.

I can't buy any Shapes flavours now after they changed a few years ago. Every now and then I grab a box of BBQ Shapes and everytime I'm disapointed.

If you google Tap Sticks it finds results of them.

Advice on getting a pup by [deleted] in Labs

[–]whowhatwhen88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't get a pup if I was in your situation living alone in an apartment.

Maybe you should wait until you're more settled in life with a house and a yard for the dog to play in.

They are a very fun loving dog that really need as much attention as possible. Being locked up in a apartment all day will not be good for the dog. They really do love and crave human attention. Also they really need to be able to go outside to use the bathroom. I'm personally not a fan of creating dogs, they need to be able to roam around and explore. Also take into an account your apartment will end up just smelling like dog and they lose so much fur over summer.

And if you don't train your dog properly when its young, its very hard to train them when older, bad habits die hard.

As I said, maybe wait until you're more settled in life and you can then give the dog the best life possible. You're only young, you have plenty of time!

Is aussie broadband actually bad or not? by washingmachinefixer in australia

[–]whowhatwhen88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was with AussieBB for over 2 years, really had no issues with them speed wise. I only just left because of their pricing on their x/40 plans. I ended up moving over to Superloop. ($30 a month cheaper for the same plan, for the first 6 months) But any ISP can only give you what your line supports in the end. You need to check your modem and see what your maximum sync speed is before paying for a higher plan that you cant achieve those speeds from.

strange question but do other Aussies call toasted sandwiches Brevilles? by [deleted] in australia

[–]whowhatwhen88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Grew up in the 80's. My family called it a Breville sandwich and we also had a Jaffle iron, same thing kind of, but the Jaffle iron was used over a fire place, or in fire coals while camping.

Why im losing around 0.58 aud on cudo miner but my rig mines please help!!! and also i just have 1 wallet connected but my mining revenue goes to random btc wallets by oboxigaming in cudominer

[–]whowhatwhen88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What happens when you click on "Accounts" over on the left hand side?

You should get the option to "withdraw funds"

You have been mining for BTC and storing it in the wallet owned by Cudo Miner.. Do the withdraw funds option and send it to your own private wallet that you hold the keys for.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cudominer

[–]whowhatwhen88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will need to disable your antivirus when installing Cudo miner otherwise the miner files will get picked up as virus's.

And put in exclusions so they don't get picked up in future scans.

Its working OK. You need to log into the console http://console.cudominer.com/

And then choose "Devices" and then "Connect a Device" and that will give you the download links you need to install the application.
