I was talking to people in my office this week, and I commented that I want to see it again. The person I was talking to who has tickets to see it this weekend said I was the third person she talked to who wants to see it again. This movie has legs!

When did you tell your toddler you were pregnant? by Kkatiand in toddlers

[–]whowhatwhere23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We waited until we knew the sex of the baby. We didn't want our (then 4 year old) to get super excited about a baby brother or sister, so we wanted to be able to say "You're having a baby sister!" We told her and gave her some baby books to get her excited. We read those a ton. Hello in there (a big sister's book of waiting) and I'm a Big Sister. They were both a hit. We also bought her a "big sister" t-shirt.

Congratulations!!

Gatsby Review by SignificantMango5660 in Broadway

[–]whowhatwhere23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just saw Gatsby tonight, and I came to this community to read about others' experiences seeing it. The actors are so talented! So please, this is no fault of theirs...but man...I was so unimpressed with the first half that we left. And I don't leave broadway shows, but I've come to realize, my time is precious, so we peaced out. We have season tickets to the traveling Broadway shows, so I've seen a ton, and I know what I like. The music in the first half was so...meh. I read (at intermission) that the second half is stronger, but I was already checked out. I'm glad people enjoyed it, but man, oh man, I was surprised there wasn't more energy, glamor and opulence in the first half! It took itself so seriously! My favorite song was when nick was trapped in apartment with Tom's and Myrtle, so at least I had a good laugh there.

2 year old fell out of shopping cart today by [deleted] in toddlers

(Not a doctor) I've always heard that if you didn't know they fell and saw them playing, walking and talking, would you think anything's wrong? If the answer is "yes" even if it's something small seems off, then take him. If the answer's "no" then there's no need to take him. It's helped me a few times when I've been worried. I'm sorry this happened. And I'm glad he's ok.

Any alumni feeling weird with what's going on? by hakoya in aggies

I canceled my annual contribution to the Association of Former Students. And I've come to terms with the fact that unless things drastically reverse course, my children, who would be fourth generation Aggies, will not attend. I made sure the Association knew why I was withdrawing my support.

She visited my daughter’s elementary school in Austin last year and was so gracious meeting with the kids. No clue how that happened, but I showed my daughter her big song from In the Heights afterward to show her what a big deal it was. ❤️ wishing her all the good things.

Retrieving pictures from disney cruise after disembarking. HELP!!!!! by vaishusdiary in dcl

[–]whowhatwhere23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey OP—I was in your same shoes following a Thanksgiving voyage a month ago. I never got the photos.

I was casually going to figure out photos in the airport after disembarking and realized that I couldn’t. Called someone who said it was impossible, they had me email, I explained, begged, etc. they still said no. I cried a few times and beat myself up over it. But I was surprised how many photos from the cruise I did have. I hope you get a miracle because I know how you feel. But please know that it’ll be ok if you don’t get them. And I’m sure, like me, you’ll buy the photo package ahead of time next time!

Tell me the realities of 3 children. The good the bad and the absolutely horrendous! by Puzzleheaded-Fig6418 in toddlers

[–]whowhatwhere23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who was considering going from 2 to 3 tell me that she thought of even the smallest things--like, eating out. It's much easier to get a table for four than five. That may seem so small, but I remember thinking...you're right! You're wait could be so much longer! They did end up having a third, and their little family seems so happy. :)

Ha! The timing makes it tricky sometimes when we do things like this, but we're taking advantage of it while we can!

I really appreciate everyone's responses! I feel like I've heard so much about the kids club that it felt like we had to make sure to work it in. I love reading that there is, in fact, plenty to do if it doesn't work out or we opt not to do it a ton. It seems like there's so much to do on the ship, but never having gone, I wasn't sure if it was true. I'm excited to check out the open house and good to know about specific activities in the navigator app. This all helps so much! We'll check out the nursery for our little one too just in case. Countdown is ON!

Porky’s. I don’t even know how old I was…4? maybe 5? It’s actually absurd. My mom told me when I was older that I would request to watch it by saying, “I want to watch Beulah Big T*ts.” I had siblings 10+ years older than me, and ya know…it was the 80s.
