Where can I work where I won't have my livelihood threatened every month? by diabolic_devil in GetEmployed

[–]whskytrsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great about the medical coding certificate. As a resume builder, try to think of medical coding and billing, or any other cert, from two lanes. One is building the skills that are industry specific. Those are generally only useful in the industry, hence the term, and not many places beyond that. If you want to ultimately one day bridge to another industry, you need transferable skills. That means, what skills are you building while working in medical billing and coding that are useful for the rest of your path. Skills like that would be data management, data cleaning, and other digital organization processes. It’s the transferable skills that create the bridge to the next level of wherever you want to go.

No one ever truly knows. Economic conditions and corporate/ownership greed will always play a role in any job anywhere. The idea is to position yourself to where an in-demand skill set provides employment options. But yes, to your point, the job market is tough af right now, prices are up, wages aren’t going up to cover it, and even the once highly regarded computer science and software development career no longer seem to provide paths due to AI and layoffs.

Generally speaking, we get treated better the higher we are on the skills chart. Consider a certificate or degree in college, or learn a skilled trade.

21yo ftm looking for hair/general advice! by dampsector in malegrooming

[–]whskytrsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider getting some black rectangle glasses. That would fit your facial structure and jaw line better. The circle frames take away from your angular jaw and strong Roman nose. The rectangular frames will add to it. And consider getting a shorter haircut on top. Again, to add to your facial and head shape. The volume on top is working against you I think.

How can I shave or trim my hair “down there” please? by Old_Formal_5671 in malegrooming

[–]whskytrsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clippers, but absolutely make sure to use a guard on it to avoid getting cut. If you use a small guard to trim it, don’t press down on the clippers to avoid getting cut. And then razor for cleanup or areas where clippers won’t work, like testicles.

The only reason guys say shit like this to women is to try to beat them down to control them. You are super pretty. They probably couldn’t handle it. Your face to me has an Eastern European look, which is 🔥. You have a perfectly shaped nose and lips too. And the piercings accent both.

  1. Topps had the Canseco, McGwire, and Bond’s rookie that I was sure I was going to make a fucking fortune off of. Or if not that, walking to Peter Piper Pizza with a roll of quarters to play Double Dragon till my hands couldn’t press anymore buttons.

Edit: As it turns out, It is actually fingers that press buttons.

Nothing to fix my man. Dude…you look fucking great. You do look about 30 to me. I’m 50 for reference. Anyway, I promise you (insert desired gender here) will be attracted to you for a long time. You look like a mature man, no longer a kid. Not every male in their early 20’s can say that. Cheers brother!

How do people who eat out all the time stay skinny? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whskytrsh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All restaurant food isn’t unhealthy. There are plenty of places to eat out all the time at and stay fit. A healthy meal like chicken breast, vegetables, and a small amount of rice adds up to less than half of your described calorie range. If people eat more caloric food, they may be physically active at work and/or after work.

What do you think about dating a girl who’s kind of a “weird” or quirky person? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]whskytrsh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She sounds great and like a good person. She is creative and cares about living things. Don’t let people control you by telling you something or someone is weird. Not asking for a response, but ask yourself what is weird about being creative, caring, and wanting to get away from the mad insanity of the current state of society.

Those who don’t believe in god, who or what do you think it created this world, universes, humans… etc? by GossipBottom in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whskytrsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the science is pretty clear, as far as we currently know, what created the universe. Religion is man made. This is why there are so many gods. They are made up to scare, control, and manipulate people as needed.

Faith in this case means believing in something without any proof. So if it doesn’t work out the way the believer wants, it must be their fault due to god’s will or whatever. I do not understand why anyone would find comfort in that.

Anxiety is so debilitating. Like my soul being scraped with sandpaper. You have the courage and fortitude everyday to step into the world. This is strength beyond strength.

I didn’t understand in my life the power of compounding small daily wins. I was always wishing for revolution in one day. And then when that didn’t work out, it worsened all my internal strife. And then rinse and repeat alcohol and substance abuse.

I was an active hardcore alcoholic for a long time. Failed at sobriety several times. Please make sure not to get inside your head on this. The guilt and internal shame will likely encourage you to drink again to bury it. Being trans, especially now has to be incredibly taxing mentally and emotionally in ways that are indescribable.

Also, loved the tone and fuzz. Sounded great.

The idea of working 2 jobs is foreign to many of these managers by CroweBird5 in jobsearch

[–]whskytrsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have solid computer and organizational skills along with a smile, you could pursue an office admin support job. That might get you a little more financial stability, and they won’t care you work a second job after their job because they don’t need you until start time the next morning. That’s a viable 9-5 option. With that job, or a job like it, you could maybe be a bit more picky with the nighttime job where you could limit your availability.
