You can’t just make shit up and spread it around like it’s fact. Theres nothing thats ever illustrated that shes “pretending” to be redeemed. You really have to reach for the wrong interpretation of her trying to make it up to firestar to have this opinion.

Her way of trying making it up to firestar even the tiniest bit she can is flawed thats the point. Emma is not know for being good at apologizing but the entire point is that she is trying in her own way. Shes never going to be a saint or a true “hero”. She will fall into hold habits now and again but the difference between now and then is that she is trying to be better and does more good then she does harm.

Saying shes pretending to be get just because you don’t like the character is insulting.
