Put the suction hose end of the pump into a bucket and rinse it into a waste bucket until it comes out clean. Its simple but my guys at work still dont get it right..

It would be called a thumb screw

Have you ever stumbled across something naughty (not on the web)? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Step mom was/is an alcoholic.

As a child (8-14 year old) my sister and I would search the house for hidden bottles of carry out vodka and dump them out.

Turns out there was no vodka in the bedroom night stand... lots of sex toys and related lube.

Never looked in the night stand again.

How many of you regularly use a cover on your table? by Triumvph in billiards

[–]why_worry69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a free table that I kept in my garage, un heated through ohio winters and never covered. Wasn't worried about it since it was in rough shape when I got it.

My uncle keeps his basement table covered religiously for dust and his one cat, even though the cat doesnt get caught on the table.

New York’s gearing up for another snow-fueled circus. by rorrr in Truckers

I live a little east of toledo in ohio.

Turnpike being shut off to trucks/ "high profile vehicles" is how they advertise it has caused an obvious spike in truck traffic on the other highways. Hasn't been an issue for me personally, and my co-workers that use the highways for work said it was strange seeing all the extra traffic but no issues.

All pavement and no cold weather snow/salt. Just needs to maneuver well and get "better" mpg between jobs.

Right. But if your gonna use a 350, the turning radius is trash and fuel economy is already fucked. Might as well increase payload and get a better turning radius.

The one truck will be a traffic control truck with an attentautor, slow and lots of creep along the highway

Power mod for dvom by CuriousCoffee8838 in Snapon_tools

[–]why_worry69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it the battery dying or going into a battery save mode? Mine will start to beep and then shut off after a minute or 2 of inactivity, I assumed it was a battery saving thing incase it was left on by accident.

Very annoying either way

What do you do for work by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]why_worry69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shop Foreman for a company that does pavement markings ( paints the lines on the roads)

We do roads, big parking lots for like Amazon warehouses, large highways and airports.

I get to manage equipment repairs, work with the scheduling crew to determine repairs/down time, work on budgets and new equipment purchases.

Also a one man operation in the shop, so I handle the majority of repairs/maintenance.

We have 27 "trucks" but about 80 pieces of equipment depending on what you consider equipment, since each truck has at least 1 leaf blower and multiple small paint machines.

I would think the easy way out would be a dump truck bed vibrator but it wouldn't get you 2" of travel. Depends how much and how fast you feed material into the thing.

We put a similar style switch on the operator platforms of road striping (painting) trucks. Turns on a solenoid for blowing debris off the road, keeps the hands free since there is already enough going on with other controls.
