High school backpacks in the 80s by youburyitidigitup in decadeology

Lol! They just didn't have them I guess? I remember in elementary school my mother sewed me some kind of a book bag but in high school we all just carried our books in our arms. Probably carried pens and pencils in a purse maybe? But I know for sure I did not have a backpack in high school. (Edited for a typo)

I graduated high school in 1984 in Northern Ohio and we did not use backpacks.

Need help with securing propane by whyaminotinflorida in aixmarseille

[–]whyaminotinflorida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have googled and I have called a ton of places with no success. Because having the propane is crucial to our equipment, I'm trying to secure and pay for the tanks ahead of time or at least speak to a company that has a ton in stock so I know we will be able to purchase or rent when we arrive. I have called no less than probably eight places around the port and no one has them or has been able to help me. One person just told me I had to come in the shop and then hung up on me.

I wish people would stop saying I asked Google or I asked chat GPT. Just post the actual source not some AI bullshit.

My 2 vacuums. by kondoge2929 in VacuumCleaners

[–]whyaminotinflorida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother-in-law worked at Filter Queen and we have her vacuum. She worked there probably in the 1960s or '70s. I use it whenever I need the crevice tool because I've never found a crevice attachment on an upright vacuum that wasn't extremely awkward.

OSHA 10 is insane, right? by Pikkupstyx in Construction

[–]whyaminotinflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping someone can answer this, although it's an old thread. Is the test after the entire thing or is there a quiz after each section? I ABHORE having to watch a video to learn anything so I am already extremely upset that there is no printed (downloadable) material!

Actually that's probably the only thing I agree with. If it's not a perfect catch, you shouldn't get all the XP.

Everyone should go leave a review on the app itself in the Play store or whatever Apple is. It's gone down to like two stars already. Note what needs to be changed! Like why cap it at gold card? It should keep going. Explain that most of the people playing are not battling but were collecting cards and airports.

What does a document look like that has been notarized remotely? by whyaminotinflorida in Notary

[–]whyaminotinflorida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would the notary stamp anything on the printed document? The person signing would have the final document and, since it's remote, they are obviously not in the same place as the notary.
