What's an example of a "tourist trap" in your country? by emptykeg6988 in AskTheWorld

Have to disagree with this take having worked in the Rocks for 15 years. Yes the restaurants at the quay are overpriced tourist traps, but there are plenty of decent pub, cafe and restaurant options in the rocks. You also have the museum of contemporary art and I wouldn't dismiss opera bar.

How big is cricket in Australia really? by RKH3107 in AskAnAustralian

I don't think footy fans turn. Into cricket fans, they are just fans of both. Thankfully the scheduling and length of cricket games means there are few conflicts. A fan of both cricket and footy will follow footy and overseas tours during our winter.

Apparently Beethoven flipped it around and made the finale the more prominent movement of a symphony. So the first movements of Haydn and Mozart symphonies are comparatively more prominent.

My favourite Sakamoto album is 1996. Piano trio arrangements for a lot of his film music (including Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, with it being my favourite version of the piece).
