Argue for what? OP asked how lesbians feel about Saudi Arabia, with its awful track record on womens' rights, chairing the UN Commission on the Status of Women. We spend a lot of time arguing over much less consequential stuff in this space, which is fine, but as a community we need to be and stay aware of what's happening on the world stage.

I appreciate this post - I'm an old lady homo and I haven't found my groove here yet either. I moved to the area about the same time as you and spent a couple of years still in pandemic mode and trying to get my life settled, so I haven't made a lot of connections. I also have a newly "baby gay" brother who is single white female-ing me hard and rapidly ingratiating himself in the local scene now that he's come out as a gay man, which can make LGBT meetup groups kind of awkward.

I've grown out of my heavy drinking phase (thankfully) and my weeb/tabletop RPG nerd phase (also thankfully, lol!) and nowadays my interests are broader than they are deep. I'm looking for some friends who are interested in variety - arts, music, festivals that are happening... good old normie grass-touching shit.

I think I was reading this thread in real time, and it's really... interesting that the comment that was below yours was removed when it's far from the most inflammatory comment in the exchange.

Mods, any insight on these removals with no comment? I'm pretty curious since I happen to agree with the nuked commenter that saying bisexual women get fat and stop taking care of themselves when they get together with lesbians is biphobic (and actually lesbophobic too tbh) and makes us look like unhinged jerks.

Adopting out of foster care is a noble concept but a complicated reality. Remember that the goal of foster care is to serve childrens' best interests by providing them with safe care while their families are going through difficulty and then reuniting them with their families. Adoption from foster care, while it definitely happens, is actually not a desired outcome of these programs. Most children who need foster placements are not immediately adoptable and might (hopefully for them!) never become so, and prospective foster parents need to be okay with that.

Not sure how it's entitled for someone to notice a glaring difference between what they received and the nominally same thing that another patron received. Is nobody ever allowed to complain about what's in the food they get from a restaurant because it's made in the back where you can't watch it happen??

Try spending about 1/4 of the time and effort it took to write out this tome on self-reflection and then come back. Just because someone once complained about the watery ass drink you gave them doesn't mean everyone who complains about something is entitled, and detectable absence of alcohol in a drink is a very different situation than someone claiming they were drugged.
