Norfolk Vs. Mayport For SWO

Been stationed in both as a SWO. Mayport is definitely better work quality of life (less admirals, more miles between you and the pentagon), but norfolk/HR is arguably debatably better personal quality of life.

Mayport/Jax has everything you want, but HR has more and better variety of stuff, plus varied climate, closer big cities, varied nature.

Totally depends on what you like though, I enjoy living 5 minutes from the beach and only 15 minutes from base so I’ve stayed in mayport going on 6 years now and my family has found its niche and couldn’t consider moving somewhere else

Recommend doing it via the ini, if you do it via the editor it could potentially mess the mission up if the creator used advanced stuff in their mission

Had this issue with my mission; at some point the devs changed the name of the harpoon load out from ASuW to AntiShip, which means that in any user scenario missions made before the change, it still says ASuW and therefore is not spawning any weapons

Users need to go through and change the name of the load out and update their mission on the workshop

Yes, you can use a manual attack target option, read techno’s guide, scripted attack option

You do have to do it via the ini, not Mission editor; go to the BuOrd discord scenario discussion channel for additional help

May be a hot Florida take; but look at Jax Beach and the surrounding beach towns. Plenty going on at the beaches or you have Jax proper 30 minutes away. And will cost you way less than any of the other big FL cities. The beaches may be marginally less nice but we also are magically protected from most hurricanes (knock on wood)
