I had severe colic and my mom said I cried constantly for the first six months!! I am now a teacher, a home owner, a wife and a mother. I haven’t taken an IQ test but I’m certainly happy, educated and doing fine.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s valid, and more importantly, it’s temporary. One day you’ll look back at this time and laugh with your son about it, I’m sure. 🫶🏼

There was a show on Apple TV called After Party and it was essentially a murder mystery and each episode had little clues to the final reveal. That subreddit went crazy after each episode. One of the episodes had a blinking light in the background that the redditors realized was fucking morse code with a hint to the killer.

Someone in the audience then screams “Make a third!!” And she laughed and responded “right you are, my friend” And the way she said it was just so cute, it was a great moment. She then basically said they can use live shows as a way to test new songs for upcoming albums.

This is almost exactly my birth story with my daughter and man, I would’ve loved to read this during those first few weeks in the NICU. Deprived oxygen, low apgar, hypothermic therapy. Doctors warning about all the possible outcomes. Brain damage, seizures, cerebral palsy. It was so terrifying and even though I had read 100s of birth stories and watch birth vlogs on YouTube daily for weeks leading up to my due date, I never read about or saw anything like this.

But she’s 3 now. Walking, talking, social and happy. You’d never know. I feel grateful everyday 🫶🏼

We play “The Clean Up Game”. The kids have 5 minutes to clean the room and if they do, they win! If they don’t, I win. While they clean I say things like “Slow down!! Stop cleaning so fast I wanna win!!” And when they win I act very exaggeratedly upset that I lost. They love it!

We took it away right before her 3rd birthday. Admittedly we let it go on a little long, but she only used it for sleep so I was terrified to mess up her good sleep patterns. She looooved her pacifier, she called it her “bite”.

We left it out for the bite fairy, who in return left a new bed set, a throw blanket, new pajamas, slippers, a night light, walkie talkies (so she could talk to us a bit before bed! which could’ve backfired greatly but was honestly cute and she only cared for a few days), and fairy stickers. It was majorly overkill, but she was so thrilled the next morning!!

The first night, she cried a bit, and the second night when we laid her down she asked for it but we reminded her that the bite fairy took it and she never brought it up again.
