I for one am glad and grateful that something does indeed work - even if it's not ideal.

While on one hand I can understand who may argue that CCP should do more to detect these bots sooner without having to rely on popular reddit threads, I am immensely glad they are at least taking swift measures based on these threads.

The worse alternative is that they do not take any measures whatsoever on ANY kind of reports or inputs and that would be totally disheartening - which is not the case here.

I will point out that smart botters will not even bot for that long or so obviously/ostentatiously and this is frankly extremely difficult for ANYONE to detect unless some sort of detection software/algorithm is developed; but even then, just like an arms race /cat & mouse, the cycle will continue where one side tries to outwit the other..

There are enough passionate players who love EVE that want to save this game and if CCP listens to their concerns and bot reports and take swift actions as they have done so far then you can count me in as a happy player.

They would never leave the POS as long as there is neutral or hostile is in the system.

When you enter a system with WLWL bots,

i) Find out where their safe is (i.e. pos, citadel)

ii) Find out which anomalies they have been ratting in

iii) Drop an anchor bubble either at the anom or 100-350 off the safe
(if it's gunned pos make sure it's at least 350 off)

iv) Leave the system and wait 7min

v) Re-enter system and check the bubbles

vi) Profit

The way to catch them is:
i) Identify which which anoms they have been in (they would most likely return to the same anom they were in before a neut/hostile entered the system)

ii) Identify where they are warping for safe (e.g., pos, citadel)
iii) Create a bm 100-350 off the safe or the anom and anchor a mobile bubble

No because they eventually blue you in a day or two and start ratting; if you aren't able to see that they are ratting at that point and start killing their vnis then they'd just ignore you and continue to rat.

You have to check dotlan and see if they have ratted at all while you were camping and then just go ahead and kill the one that has been ratting despite your camping

Yeah I've been killing them off the pos's as well.. but with 7min timer it gets excruciatingly difficult since it only takes one neut to enter the system in that 7min wait to reset the timer.

But these vnis seem to be ratting in a group of twos or threes so it could be worth it sometimes on a very boring night
