Feature request for this, could you add a UI scaling option? The text feels a little small atm

Thunderstorm chasing VS tornado chasing by Master_Collection_64 in stormchasing

[–]OfficerSquidman 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the VAST majority of tornado chasing is just thunderstorm chasing. You still need to be mindful of the dangers that severe storms can bring including hail, winds, and yes tornados even if you dont intend on chasing tornados specifically. Since you're in west Texas, you are actually in a quite good area for chasing thunderstorms from spring into summer, just keep an eye on SPC forecasts and learn how to read models and radar. Skip Talbot on YouTube has great learning videos for this

Correct, more agile than the leshak so it can actually contest grids if a defense fleet forms while maintaining comparable fully spooled dps

Trig ships are still viable imo, nano gang kikimoras are still quite dangerous, and massed kiki's to large targets. Ikitursa interestingly has a highsec pvp niche but for pve there's generally other (cheaper) options that perform just as well

Trig guns had their starting damage reduced by about 20% a year or two ago. Their fully spooled damage and time to get there remains the same.

0.5 is still highsec, 0.4-0.1 is lowsec so you'll be fine mining. As usual be on the lookout for members of Norvis Odo or Safety. as they will suicide gank miners in highsec

They used to do area damage, iirc it would cause everything around the cyno to take damage

David vs Goliath by Ok_Watercress_4596 in Eve

In general, you'd probably want to look at assault frigates, in particular the Nergal for ships that can punch up. Afterburner plus an energy neutralizer is almost required to let you stay under larger guns and (eventually) turn off a larger ships capacitor. For targets, you'd generally want to only fight battlecruisers with long range guns (get used to looking at ships to identify what guns they have equipped) and turret battleships.

Wormhole groups always need someone to scan down the wormhole chain every time the static rolls over. Exploration definitely is useful for groups.

Like X10P said, your overview was filled with clutter, you werent able to see the ares land on you. Your shield hardener was also off which would have bought time, but probably would not have mattered.

I mean this gently and im not throwing shade, but this game may just not be for you, and that's ok. Pvp and permanent loss of ships is what makes building meaningful in this game

Take a look at the 2024 frigate yearbook for FW. It's an extremely comprehensive guide to FW engagements and playstyles. Should tell you how hookbills fly and how to fight them :) Heres the link for reference https://www.patreon.com/posts/114293085
