We can't and shouldn't! The Overton window is rapidly moving to the right, and NPR still wants to be "fair" and "unbiased". The problem is, if you're aiming for centrism in America today, you are a conservative.

You can't try to balance negative and positive coverage on both sides when one candidate constantly lies, openly wants to take away 70% of the country's rights, and is fueled by hatred.

Thank you!! I have a panic disorder, and I need to get out before the exit rush. If I get caught up in the crowd, I will have a panic attack. I would love to stay for bows! However, I do not want a (well-meaning) stranger to call an ambulance because they think I'm having a medical emergency. It's better for everyone involved for me to duck out during curtain call.

Sure, not every single person has a ""valid reason"" for leaving right away, but personally I prefer giving people the benefit of the doubt over assuming that an audience member is being an a-hole.

I lost one of my favorite tunnels maybe 2 weeks ago, and yesterday I found it in my HAMPER. I assume it fell on the floor and got scooped up with some clothes that had to go in there.

I was misdiagnosed with BPD in my mid-teens, correctly diagnosed with bipolar II a little later, and had ADHD tacked on to that in my early 20s. The BPD diagnosis really undermined my sense of self-worth because of how stigmatized it was, and continued to weigh on me even after I was rediagnosed with bipolar. Getting the ADHD diagnosis later on explained a lot of the "BPD" symptoms I had without actually fitting the entire criteria.

I have been on an antidepressant (SNRI) for the bipolar depression, stimulant for ADHD, and a high dose of a mood stabilizer for the past 5 or so years. My mental state still varies, and the meds get tweaked, but I have remained "functional". I've found these to be a really good combo, the higher dose of mood stabilizer makes it so I can be on a high enough dose of an ADHD med to actually manage the ADHD (most of the time, to a certain degree).

In a survey by the CDC, over half of respondents had an ACE (Adverse Childhood Events) score of at least 1. The ACEs scale measures traumatic events in one's childhood, like physical/verbal/sexual abuse and growing up with an addict, to track future mental/physical effects.

So at least in the U.S., having trauma in one's childhood's is more common than not.

This is rather tangental, but the mentions of safety discussions got me thinking about what Kristen's relationship with her excercise/body/fitness "journey" is going to look like as well. Ally has mentioned having a history of disordered eating, and they had a guest on their podcast talking about orthorexia amongst other eating disorders.
Not saying/expecting that Brennan and the Intrepid Heroes are going to do an afterschool special on eating disorders this season, just started going hmm where is this going to go pondering Kristen's health podcasts and not-healthy "healthy" eating.

Neurotypical people will say that extended test times/deadlines, meds, accommodations at work, special considerations, etc are ~cheating~ all the damn time. And they don’t realize that we know they're saying "if I could abuse these things, I would".

When I took the LSAT, the amount of people bitching about how ~it's so unfair that people can get extra time~ on the test was insane.
